RE: Bug report - Save game list throws out of range exception

I'm using v1.13, build 972.14. It's the one up on Steam and I'm running it in Windows 10. I've reproduced it here, following the above.

[FIXED B998] Bug report - Save game list throws out of range exception

<r> A quick bug report here.<br/>
<br/>
To reproduce, do the following:<br/>
From the start menu you go to campaigns->resume from last save. You're presented with an expandable list of campaigns. Each campaign has a nested list of "sessions", in which the various saved games are shown. If you ...

Ship automation

Hello all. I have a simple question: Should individual military ships in (automated) fleets be automated themselves? Can anyone explain how military ship automation works when the ships are in fleets?

These charts are awesome. A huge thanks to the creator. I've put all of these in a 7-zip archive and put them here if anybody wants them ----> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SVXRBWU4

I ought to refresh the page before I post. Beaten like a red headed step child.

We've arrived at the same conclusion though =)

RE: OT - Science (pressure) question about subs/DCs

<t> There might be a couple of extra things to consider. So, after the DC explosion, there's a bubble of vapour that's oscillating in diameter, which is causing additional damage to the sub's hull, beyond that of the initial explosion. Seems to me that the amplitude of the secondary oscillations ...

RE: Newbie questions: Air Units

<t> Thanks for the responses so far - all very helpful. I have a further few questions that are bit more specific:<br/>
<br/>
What is it that determines how effective a bomber is in a given role? So, for example, it's been pointed out that level bombers don't do as well against naval units as dive ...

Newbie questions: Air Units

<t> Greetings, all. I have a couple of newbie questions about air units, as I'm near the start of my first GC, playing against the Japan AI. I'd be very grateful for any pointers you could offer; my questions probably have obvious answers, which highlights how little I know at this point. So, my ...

I had some "Null Pointer" and "Array Index OOB" errors thrown by Java when trying to use the Tracker and the latest Beta patch (P6, IIRC). However, as suggested in this thread, swapping out the pwsdll ...

RE: Master Wishlist Thread

<t> I've got a fairly simple comment about the interface. I'm using two monitors on my PC, in what Windows refers to as an "extended desktop" configuration. So what happens is the game is displayed on the primary monitor, which is all well and good, however scrolling around the map with the mouse ...

[Solved] WitP related java programs not running from batch file

<r> Hello everybody. Initially when I downloaded a couple of applications found here on the forums (like WitP tracker) I couldn't run them from the ".bat" file that was written for them. I've got a solution/fix that others might find helpful, so I'm putting it up here. If the mods think this is the ...

RE: OT-OS choice stalemate-heeeelp

<t> Vista would be the best choice. It's got much better driver support now than when it was first released. If you've got more than 3.5GB of RAM, then XP-32bit won't 'see' it all. Vista has some new security features (like DEP and UAC), which are an improvement over XP, but you can turn these off ...

Nick, you should switch Tracker to a panel that does not change when you upload a new turn, it should reduce your freezes.  Like the Aircraft comparison panel.

I'll try that. Thanks for the tip.

Thinking about trying this

<t> Hello everybody! First time poster here.<br/>

Only recently having become a fan of strategy games I've missed several of the classic titles, like WITP, that are held in high regard by 'those who know'. I feel I'm ready to try out something with some real depth, something with lots of ...
