Campaign days

I've changed all the entries in the campaign abs to increase the campaign to 8 days, but in the scenario editor the dates are still for 6 days. Can I change that?

RE: Adjusting weapons abs

Found the bit at the bottom of the Campaign file. Some very interesting tweets there. Also found in the weapons file that I had to adjust the calibre size to ramp up the effect. Thanks for the help Cathartes and Steve.

RE: Adjusting weapons abs

<t> All I could find in the campaign file is how to adjust the number of barrages allocate per day. What I was trying for was to up the destructive capability, as at the moment the arty seems to have little effect on armour. On Invasion Normandy you only had to up the penetration and blast effect ...

RE: bugs, praises, questions and suggestions

<t> All the CC games are about the tanks, and yet there has been little improvement since Invasion Normandy. In fact some more resent games are worse. I always go into the abs and speed up their movement and turret rotation. But what can't be changed is the firing sequence. You know the one, where ...

Adjusting weapons abs

In the earlier games adjusting the effect of the off board arty and mortars was a simple case of adjusting the blast effect radius and the penetration setting. but for the last couple of versions including this one , adjusting those setting have no effect. Am I missing something?

RE: No blood patches...

<t> For the first time in a campaign playing h to h we turned off show bodies. It was weird but right because using the mortar to recce by fire could be unrealistic, when you got a lucky hit a body would show up, then all you had to do was pound the area.<br/>
The ideal would be having the bodies ...

RE: 88's

<t> The 88 flak had great success in Operation Goodwood in Normandy (and the Wetern Desert). The surviving Brittish tank crews complained that at no time could they tell where the AT guns were firing from. This is because the guns were engaging at ranges up to 2000m. In CC the maps are around 600 ...

RE: Tank tracks

Can't the small detail be ignored? Seems to me the single big running theme in every CC game is the tank pathing. Perhaps the terrain needs to be simpler. Some movements look like a one eyed drunk with one leg shorter than the other, and that's on the road moves.

Gun firing sequence

<t> The gun firing firing sequence seams to go like this. Select target, gun traverses, gun loads, then fires.<br/>
The problem mainly is with the traversing. It seams to be set so that no matter how many degrees you need to traverse it takes the same time as if you had to go 180 degrees, which is ...

Tank tracks

<t> Looking recently at the Stalingrad mod highlighted the old pathing pain. Then it struck me that on a nice clean piece of ground the tank will go straight to its destination. So why is it at most times during a move it will swing from side to side and sometimes do a 360. Being ignorant of the ...

RE: Discussion: Support weapons embedded into platoons.

<t> I made all slots available, threw out all the soft skinned vehicles, all the mg halftracks. Made anti tank packs of two 75mm, two 50mm and two 80mm mortars. Took the Ertsatz Zug platoon and changed the teams to a 50mm mortar, a HMG, a PanzerSchreckt, an engineer squad, a leader team, 2 rifle ...

RE: Discussion: Support weapons embedded into platoons.

I have done every third inf platoon as a support platoon. A leader, a heavy mg, a 50mm mortar, an a/t wpn (bazooka or Schreck), an engineer team. The other slota are inf teams.

cc exe error

On time out, cc exe error pops up and dumps the game without saving. Also some times happens during the game. Happens about once a week.
