I also want that kind of bug squashed for good. Seem every game I played have instances of this. It happens a lot less than it used to but I keep an eye on all combat notifications I receive because I expect it will happen sooner or later...

Getting human language tech... While playing humans.

This is a bug I seen on multiple playthrough ever since I started to play this game; A story event where I can search the surface or underground of a ruined colony. I search underground and I get basic human language tech. Problem is, I play human. Still happen in 1.3.3.6.

Had the same issue in my newest game; Had my strongest fleet waiting forever for tankers around a blackhole. They killed off all the space monsters but then formed a ring around the blackhole and parked there for a long time. At some point I needed that fleet so I forced them to refuel and repair ...

Thanks, we'll investigate.

The admiral assigning algorithm maybe worth a look.
I also see constantly 3 or 4 admirals in one fleet while 4 other fleets have none.
Then after a while looking I see them "transferring to...." but again from different fleets 2 or 3 transferring to same fleet ...

Has anything been done about the character stacking? I still see it occurring, even in 1.2.9.7. One thing I noticed is the AI try to relocate the extra people, but all characters pick the very same fleet so the issue repeat itself. Like in my current game I seen about 5 admirals being sent to ...

That's not a bug per see, you can do the very same if you want to avoid the AI from taking over planets in your territory. You can also invade those planets with ease, they have next to no defences.

I tried this mod for the first time yesterday and I am impressed with all the balance changes and improvements. The game seem to progress more smoothly, though I am not sure the AI knows how to play with the changes.

I will dig in my old save for an example. I now tend to manually assign my admirals and generals so they are more evenly spread out among my fleets so I have to find a save where I had not done it yet. I will come back with one.

Hum... I gifted ships on multiple occasions to friendly empires but I never checked if they actually used them. I guess i just burdened my allies with ships they have no idea what to do with.

I doubt it is intended, but generals and admirals tend to stack in the same fleet when there are multiple fleets (planets and stations) they could go to. Not only they stack in the same fleet, but on the very same ship, meaning we can lose a bunch of them if said ship get destroyed. In a resent game ...

Those bugs have been there for a long time, but I report them because it makes manually upgrading ships tedious. Several ship modules get replaced by the wrong thing if certain other modules are available.

Here a few I have noticed so far, but I am sure there are many others :

In regards to pirates it is generally not hard to find out the general area where a specific faction tend to operate in, you then station several smaller anti-pirate fleets in that area and/or try to find their base of operation.

Thanks for the post.

To respond to some of your points, it's intended that the AI should auto-scuttle ships that it believes it doesn't need. If you see a situation where the AI is clearly not doing this, definitely upload a save showing the situation.

In my next game I probably will not cheese the system this way and build more proper stations to make pirates more fun. I think that you probably should get way less possibilities on stations to use this cheese tactic as it makes pirates almost irrelevant.

As for pirates signing non-aggression pacts, it would only make sense if there was a change to why they'd sign one. I thought about it and if, for instance, they would be more peaceful towards you the more of a threat that you posed to them, that would make sense. In that way, they'd only see you ...
