Transferring characters on actual ships ?

Is it possible, via modding perhaps, to make characters behave like cargo as far as transfers are concerned ?

I like having to move them around, but I think it would be even more immersive if one actually had to transfer them around on real ships.

RE: Possible espionage bug ?

<t> I did some more testing, and it looks like I jumped the gun on assuming espionage repercussions were broken.<br/>
<br/>
I occurred to me that there was far more depth to the simulation than meets the eye, which has been my observation of DW generally.<br/>
<br/>
Testing in various random ...

Possible espionage bug turns out to be more design goodness, it seems. :)

<t> I have had several of my espionage agents caught by target empires, but there seems to be no diplomacy or reputation hit happening.<br/>
<br/>
I was under the assumption, from the manual, that a failed espionage attempt would result in serious diplomatic repurcussions.<br/>
<br/>
All I am ...

Thank you, for an epic gaming experience !

<t> <br/>
Distant Worlds is amazing. It feels, and plays, like a mix between Europa Universalis III and the board game Twilight Imperium III.<br/>
<br/>
My game play experience so far has been epic. It plays like a grand space opera, I haven't had a game fire my imagination like this for years ...

RE: A slight problem with The amazing ARHS mod

<t> The more I play the more I like your idea for a second balancing pass.<br/>
<br/>
It seems that, generally, the random maps end up lopsided as far as city count when country division is finished. It would be nice to just play them as is so long as the forces were decently balanced to offset ...

Improved seasonal movement penalties.

<t> <br/>
I have been working on improving the seasonal scripts. <br/>
<br/>
I've added a few subroutines that check each round during the inclement seasons, and then randomly adjust air unit movement cost depending on the season. All inclement weather gives penalties but depending on the actual ...

RE: A slight problem with The amazing ARHS mod

<t> That is precisely what I did. <br/>
<br/>
The scenarios are quite good, because they get rid of the "civ 4" land rush from the stock random scenarios.. They carve the map up so the scenario starts with distinct countries, each with standing armies... so much more realistic, and on a random map ...

A scenario specific editor problem. (Oops wrong forum. Sorry)

<t> I have noticed on some of the secenarios I've downloaded, the ARHS scenarios for example, that when I open the master files in the editor, there are no buttons available for things such as SFtypes stats, etc... Since there are no buttons, I am unable to alter any of the stats.<br/>
<br/>
I've ...

A slight problem with The amazing ARHS mod

<t> Let me start off by saying I love the Alternate Historical Random Scenario mod. It's ability to add army setups and cut the random maps up into countries is worth it alone. :O)<br/>
<br/>
In the WW2 variant however, if I select any of the war start options for later rounds, when the game gets ...

RE: Manual supply transfer

Never mind I figured out the answer to all my questions, so far. =)

What a great game, even if the manual is a little underwhelming.

Manual supply transfer

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I recently purchased Advanced Tactics and it is an amazingly good game. A perfect mix of complexity but very accessible at the same time.<br/>
<br/>
I've read the manual and all the help topics, particularly the supply FAQ for newbies.<br/>
<br/>
I have seen several ...
