Manual supply transfer

Post by virgil_182 »

Hello,

I recently purchased Advanced Tactics and it is an amazingly good game. A perfect mix of complexity but very accessible at the same time.

I've read the manual and all the help topics, particularly the supply FAQ for newbies.

I have seen several places mention the manual transfer of supplies, yet I can't seem to figure it out in game for the life of me. I thought the process was to click on an HQ then using the transfer button select supplies and transfer them to a unit.

My problem is, however, that none of my HQ's have a supply selection available in the transfer options. Only units.

While I'm asking, how does one build a port or an airfield ?

Am I missing something obvious ? The manual is a little vague.

Thanks for your time.

I am playing ver. 1.22

Never mind I figured out the answer to all my questions, so far. =)

What a great game, even if the manual is a little underwhelming.

airfield need 150 engineering points and the right terrain. Not to build in mountain and swamp terrain.
For heavy forest i´m not sure. But on plain and light forest terrain your engineers can build it when collected the 150 EP.

Port need 100 EP to construct and the terrain you want to place it must be neighboured to a water hex.
Just try a bit in a random game and you´ll find all the answers.

One engineers generates (if fully supplied) 2 EP per turn. So you can calculate yourself how many engineers you need
to produce in turn x a airfield. Land a eng unit at aa enemy coast it´s always nice to land at least 50.
Why ? They generate 100 EP for the next turn and can direct build a port for incoming supply and reenforcements.
