RE: Victory

I started my game against the AI in August 2009 with three day turns. It is currently 15 June 1943. I find this thread oddly reassuring.

RE: AE Unit Insignia Art Mod Completed

<t> Please pardon the question from the technologically-incompetent. I downloaded the artwork from the website (which look great, by the way) according to the instructions (creating a sub-file in the Art file, unzipping there, etc.) . However, the artwork is not appearing when I open the game. I am ...

RE: Has anybody tried 3 day turns?

I second what bushpsu said. I don't have the time for a PBEM. The three day turn makes it more of a game vs. the AI. It is hard to sit through the turn cycle, though, when something bad happens on Turn 1.

Bora Bora Question

<t> In the GC game, two American units appear in Bora Bora. I am certain it is a lovely place, but it seems that I can not move them elsewhere nor unload supplies so they avoid starvation. The transports I have sent have been unable to either load or unload. The troops themselves will not go into a ...

Rockmedic, you win the cookie. It turns out the sub wasn't docked, after all. Silly me. Thanks for your help.

RE: Sub Transport Question

I thought about that (port size) & the amount of naval support in the hex. As for the latter, I can't imagine there is not sufficient support with the base force, plus a naval headquarters, in Darwin to load a few crates of canned sardines and .50 caliber rounds on the sub.

RE: Sub Transport Question

Well, that would sort of explain things, but last time I checked the sub was docked and all its sailors were getting plastered in various Darwin drinking establishments.

Sub Transport Question

It is 9 January 1942, & I have a US sub (cargo capacity 42) at Darwin with orders to load supplies and proceed to Bataan. Darwin has about 10k worth of supplies. The sub has been there four days and has yet to load. What am I doing wrong?
