Re: FC: Southern Storm - v.2.1.4.8794 Public Beta Now Available

When I saw this post, I played out scenario 1, Fog of War, and had the same issue with scenario 2, Tall Order. I followd your instructions and over wrote the files and was able to get a normal start up for Tall Order with the unit placement areas highlighted as usual and I was able to place units no...

Re: Re-Supply Problem

At the end of the next order phase, 6-C-1 4th Cav has increased its supply of TOWs to 14. It seems then that resupply is occuring even though the player is unable to alter the time, etc. I have attached a save file.

Re-Supply Problem

6/C/1 of the 4th Cav is out of TOWs when you look at the Staff tab on it's Unit Dashboard. Using the Recover Supply & Readiness order only allows readiness to be increased as % Supply is not selectable and listed at 85% as the current load. Was there a change to the ability to re-supply recon un...

Re: Moving IPs and Removing Obstacles from a hex side?

Just a note, if you're unaware, that a fix to the bug in the ability to relocate fixed improved positions and hex sides, or to be able to remove hex side obstacles from either side of the obstacle didn't make it into the recent beta for the "Big Red One" Iron Rangers and Percutio scenarios...

Re: Moving IPs and Removing Obstacles from a hex side?

Something else to put in the "just because your can do it doesn't mean you should do it" barrel.

Thanks again for your quick response.

Re: Moving IPs and Removing Obstacles from a hex side?

Sorry, I accidentally hit Submit before I straightened out the order of the screenshots. The question that starts the thread refers to the third screen shot rather than the first and the next two go with the second question about removing obstacles from a hex side.

Thanks

Moving IPs and Removing Obstacles from a hex side?

I have noticed that the improved position markers in some scenario setup screens can be moved during the turn when a player is placing units on the map prior to starting the 1st turn. This is shown in the screen shot below from the Big Red One SN4-Percutio scenario where the IP in hex 2926 was moved...

Thanks for the quick response. I kind of figured it was something like that. I'll keep an eye out for the new Beta.

Re: EG1-SNR unit placement at start and for reinforcements questioned?

I forgot to add the Bug Report that I saw when I exited the game. The report appears each time I load the campaign file.

EG1-SNR unit placement at start and for reinforcements questioned?

Playing the 2nd Scenario of the East German campaign Kitchen Sink and placement of units at the scenario start as well as the entry points for reinforcements do not seem to match the Mission Brief diagram or the description of the scenario listed under Operations on the Staff menu. Also, the area fo...

Re: Failure to find National Data after Iron Rangers in Big Red One

I just checked to see if there was any further follow up, and after copying the new file to the West German data directory all is well again. Thank you for continuing to stay with this and provide a way to continue this campaign.

Re: Failure to find National Data after Iron Rangers in Big Red One

Just noticed that this is exactly the same as an issue reported earlier shown below. My screens were similar and the error messages are exactly the same.

Re: Failure to find National Data after Iron Rangers in Big Red One

Sorry. I just noticed a typo in the second error message. The $ in US1-SN$ should be a 4. It should read: X There was an error loading this file (2): Access violation at address 00000000023F8C64 in module "Flashpoint Capaigns.exe" Read of address 00000000000000F0 for file US1-SN4 Percutio....

Failure to find National Data after Iron Rangers in Big Red One

After completing the Iron Rangers scenario in the Big Red One campaign, error messages indicated a failure to find the national data for the third scenario. At that point this bug report was created. Before I down loaded and installed the Beta I did not have this happen. date/time : 2023-02-17, 15:3...

RE: Victory Point Calculations

I now see that city points get added twice, and that the number next to the name is a fractional multiplier. IE. The 1 next the the Soviets means you multiply the points by .1 Thanks Capt Flam and Joe.

Victory Point Calculations?

<t> I completed a Barbarosa campaign and had the VP screen show that the Soviets got 44 pts for NW Leningrad. I captured NW Leningrad on the 21st turn. How did the game come up with 44 points for the Soviets? According to my reading of the rules, the Soviets should have received 20 pts. 1 pt for eac...
