RE: War in the West - Ask us Anything

<t> I posted this question in the other section. My question is about the level of complexity of this game. I have played War in the East with no problem, except I put the air war on auto and forgot about it, I take it that's not a fgood idea for this game. I am not into deep micro management. Is ...

game difficulty

<t> I am thinking of purchasing War in the West. I have played War in the East several times and enjoyed it. I did however, put the air war part of it on auto and forgot about it. I am wondering about the level of micro management in the West game. Can it be played on the management level that was ...

Rail Road movement

<t> Italy joined the Central Powers, RR movement within the country is as fast as land movement. It takes 76 days by RR to move a unit from Rome to the border with France. The same with movement within T<br/>
Turkey. RR path finding is also off. I have to manually plot RR movement in some cases, if ...

The French

<t> can some one explaine this to me. A French corps is surrounded, every space has a german unit in it. Two turns later, still surrounded, the French unit goes from 600 to 1000 points. It is attacked it retreats, it is still surrounded and the only thing wrong with it is a bit down on supply. The ...

vampire attack?

<t> Benn playing the central forces with the new beta. I'm noticing that a Corps with 2 supply units will be sucked dry in one battle, its blue bar is zero, it strength goes from 100+ to 5 and it still has 2 full supply units. It seems that this is happening in many battle, the allies don't seem to ...

bata 2 rr movement

<t> I'm noticing that many times RR movement is not right. From a 100% owned province to the next one, clear terrain, in may it should not take six day<br/>
<br/>
I move a unit up a rr line two spaces, clear, in May and it took 12 days, plus one leg was off the RR track. I could not make the unit ...

RE: level 1.01 game --big problems

Aegod is looking into the problem of these quick wins. It does seem to be linked to the successive assaults that the French make and the vast amount
of units they leave behind.

level 1.01 game --big problems

Just replayed the game as Central powers. I won in October 1914. If you like a game that's over in six turns this is for you. I hope Aego
d pays attention and fixes this latest patch. I liked the game before the patch, at least I got to play thru 1917.

conscripts and money

<t> Does anyone know if as Germany when Turkey joins, does Germanys money and conscript count increase? Also its only March 1915 why is my conscript count for the Central forces only in the 800's, last time I played at this time it was around 2000? Playing with new patch. I'm thinking of reloading ...

new patch play

<t> I played two games with the new patch one on Sgt. level the other on Lt. Level. Both games ended in 1915. The lt. level game ended with me hardly getting out of Germany. I was the Central powers. Everywhere on the map I was stalled, but I won a moral victory. I believe it was because of the ...

<t> Just thought I'd roll these numbers out, patched game, 1916. 15000 British and French points at Nancy area, 2000 in Paris, 1000x2 below Paris and s1400 at gernam south border, not counting 500 here and there. That's more points then all my armies combines. Then there's the Russiaas, 10000 in ...

Beta Patch thoughts 2

<t> playing the French, on average settings, way to easy, its the end of 1915 and I'm on my way to Berlin with only snow between it and my units. The AI once again does not see an encirclement coming and this time used up three armies making suicide drives for Paris, needless to say their whole ...

Beta Patch thoughts

<t> Well there is still no air combat<br/>
The Russians have a habit of sending swarms of a regular unit paired with a supply unit into my rear areas and they are hard to eliminate<br/>
It took two 300point corps seven turns to eliminate one of these , after six battles.<br/>
