RE: Question: Want to buy... but question first...

So there is a mod which breaks units down to company level -- theoretically letting you have battalions with about 800 men? With proper formation?

Question: Want to buy... but question first...

<t> I just heard this game is 1/6th scale. What does this mean?<br/>
<br/>
Does it mean that there are 1/6th as many men on the battlefield and that because of this the scale of the battlefield is 1/6th of the size of the original? Meaning it will take a man 1/6th as long to march from one end to ...

RE: A new age of war is coming, and Ageod is ready to bring it to you!

<r> For a sense of the epicness of this period and the importance of the battle of Blenheim, check out this video on YouTube... a documentary about the Blenheim campaign and battle. I have had the honour of being on this battlefield twice now and it is just an amazing piece of history and turning ...

RE: Wars of Succession first screenshots!

<r> There is another problem. IF these fortresses have been eliminated to allow for "ease of conquest" and more movement in the game (something I would disagree with doing because it would mean that the mechanics of the game dealing with fortresses are off), then France should also have her ...

RE: Wars of Succession first screenshots!

<r> 1638 - the Battle of Breisach - shown with significant fortifications at the time. And through 1735 - so we know during the Wars of Succession, the walls were there. But for some reason, this massive fortification, with serious logistical ramifications to any army deciding to leave it in its ...

<r> Just take Breisach as an example. This fortification is clearly missing from the Wars of Succession map as shown. But should a fortress like this be missing? This image: 1644<br/>

<r> Great looking game! It's about time. And I am sure that this game cannot find a better home than AGEOD. There is simply no one who will do it better.<br/>
<br/>
I can tell you now that, looking at the map, it is missing many, many major fortresses, making it appear that many of these ...

RE: A new age of war is coming, and Ageod is ready to bring it to you!

<t> I would love to be involved as a play tester. Not too long ago, because of my repeated demonstration of my passion for the period and my knowledge of it, another Matrix affiliated company signed me up to do a 1683-1789 game modification of one of their Napoleonic titles (I just won't say who or ...

RE: Hard to Get Units Moving??

Yes, I agree it happened most often over battalion level. But the game does say that we can give orders at any level we like.

Hard to Get Units Moving??

<r> I was a real fan of this series for some time. And I bought 2-3 versions to keep development going to get it to be all it could be. But after the release of BFTB, I kind of gave up because I felt that I could give units orders to move and too often they would sit there and run circles and not ...

"Real Time" Carrier Battles?

Does anyone around here know of a "Real Time" carrier battle game?

I want to do the battle of the Soloman Islands -- or Midway -- on a "real time" basis (with different speeds selectable)... kind of like the Command Ops system -- or Harpoon. But for WW2 naval battles.
