Re: Supplying China via Air

2 supply per C47, 10 squadrons x25planes per... that's about 500 supply transported per turn (op losses and weather lower this a bit).... not nothing

Re: Best Campaign vs Allied AI?

yeah, well, as an exercise in speedrunning it's true

I prefer roleplaying historical path... or so, script is just so I don't have to click the other side... so it depends on the goal when playing it, I'm more of a journey man than meta-best-result man

did you upload this scenario anywhere?

Re: Question for Allied Players

it really depends on how quickly and how aggressively Japanese player is going... the slower he goes, the more forward you're able to garrison... but the more forward you garrison the longer it takes to supply your troops and engineers

Re: Air War Guide

that is not what I meant.... I mean sweeps are another kind of raid, there are sweeps, there are bombing raids... both have coordination applied, but they are done idependently

What does a sweep coordinate with? I've tried numerous time to get a sweeps to coordinate with other raids but ...

Sweeps
I'll state now that I have never seen a sweep go in with a raid. I have checked through my archive reports and have been monitoring this for sometime now. Mostly they sweep beforehand but there's no way to ensure this happens that I have found.

Air coordination is referring to air raids ...

Re: Air War Guide

first of all, it's great guide, I somehow missed it until now, but:

Sweeps, recon, search and ASW missions do not use coordination however sweeps and recons can accompany other
raids but do not affect them. If you time it right based mainly on cruise speed and range and then you can get a sweep
to ...

In the new beta Kyushu is still disconnected by road and rail to the rest of Japan? See previous discussions...

what is the border between hexes? sea or land?
if sea, then nothing will flow, if land then everything will flow, but the units would take more time to move

Also, the connections ...

Re: Map and the new beta patch

I would think that the new final patch would make all the map mods invalid now. Since there was both map and data changes any existing map mods no matter how pretty they are will not be compatible with the latest and final patch.

map mods are independent of any exe changes, so only scenario ...

Re: Supply flow between bases

I don't understand how you arrived at a number of 68 as stated in your edit? The path is clearly along the paved roads north, then west and south along the dirt roads. Going cross country it is 2 hexes of WR terrain. The numbers drop 12 in the first hex and could be expected to drop another 12 ...

Re: Supply flow between bases

it seems if the supply can go through the road/railway system it prefers that, even if supply value could be higher going directly, see picture - it is 73 going through roads, when it could be 76 directly // edit: nvm, it would be 68

it is counting lowest supply route

Re: Yet another crazy retreat.

they can't retreat NW as the hexside is in Japanese control... I think it calculated supply movement cost to nearest base and retreated NE, which is WAD

it also does NOT cut supply to Japanese units on the road up NW... supply will flow around it, not along the road

The only possible ...

I don't get it.

a) what does IC acronym stand for?

b) A Chinese corps starts the war undivided. I divided the corps into A/B/C divisions. C division is destroyed in combat. Afterwards, A and B cannot recombine without C (this I tested manually in the game) to form the corps again. How do I ...

Re: OBSOLETE: The Long Road to Tokyo- Does not work with the 2022 Public Beta

It should be in the late Bill Brown's posts up thread with his (slightly improved) version of the scenario - I am not sure if the links still work, but you may need to download the AI files as well. Unfortunately I don't have these readily available on my current machine. Hopefully, if the ...
