RE: PayPal

Figured it out. Some sort of conflict if you used your Matrix account vs. simply just purchasing without logging in. Purchased, downloaded and ready to go (get my a.. kicked probably). [:D]

Good place to start...

<t> So I have just recently purchased this game. After trying sooo many others I'm thinking this is exactly the game I'm looking for.<br/>
<br/>
I have gone through the tutorial scenario twice..and may actually do it one more time. My question, for a new player, what are say the best 3 scenarios ...

Purchase question

<t> Just happen to stumble upon this game while browsing Steam. Looks like a great game. Have watched several AARs on youtube, love the fact there is no micromanaging units and excessive 'clicking.' <br/>
<br/>
Two questions:<br/>
<br/>
1. is there any benefit or disadvantage to purchasing ...

RE: Historical WW II game

<t> Thanks so much for everyone's input. I've got the demo for Command Ops installed and am going to play around with it. It seems daunting but I'm not looking for a 'click feast,' looking for more of a 'thinking man's' game. It may take lots of practice and studying but anything worth doing usually ...

RE: Historical WW II game

Oh...sorry, yes I guess that would probably help. I guess I would be looking in the tactical to operational arena. A LONG time ago I played the original Close Combat games and really enjoyed them. Are the new games that have come out in that series pretty good and follow a historical path?

Historical WW II game

<t> In the grand scheme of things I'm very new to the war gaming genre so I figured I would ask this question of all the experts out there. I am very, very interested in WW II gaming (and WW II history in general). Also looking for a game that doesn't required a tremendous amount of micromanagement ...

<t> Every time I go start up Panzer Corps I get the pop up from Windows 7 asking me "Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer" and the short cut icon on my desktop has a little "windows shield" on the Panzer Corp icon.<br/>

Is there a way to make Windows stop asking ...

Getting started

<t> Long time WWII nut and very sporadic wargamer (so I guess you would have to call me a noob). Back in the days I played the original Close Combat series (looks like Matrix has really improved on that series). Once upon a time I tried The Operational Art of War...wow, I was totally overwhelmed and ...

RE: Please help

What program are you trying to unzip it with?

Simply using the "Extract all files" option in the Folder Task pane of the "view" screen.

If I try to use the "extract" option on the sidebar of the view screen...that's when I also get "unexpected end of file" error.

<t> Purchased the digital download last night. Downloaded the 1.2 GB file. Opened the zip file and double clicked on the file.....nothing happens.<br/>
