RE: Command Line Switch Reference

It took me forever to find this list of up-to-date switches. It deserves to be bumped or even stickied.

Where are the good Korean War scenarios?

I'm thinking of picking up TOAWIII and I am wondering if there are some good Korean War scenarios out there. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks. :)

How good is the overall land warfare system?

<r> I'm wondering about the viability of this engine for a WW2-era total conversion Korean War mod. As you know, the bulk of the Korean War was land-oriented, so I'm wondering how such a scenario would hold up as far as realism and gameplay are concerned.<br/>

RE: Newbie question for fighting in China

<r> In a roleplaying sense, how could bombardment in real life give you an idea of an enemy's strength? Then best you're going to get is from forward observers calling in artillery, but that shouldn't be able to get you strong estimates of an overall enemy force, should it?<br/>

OT: If the carriers had been at Pearl Harbor, would they have put up a reasonable fight?

I've been wonder, if the US carriers had been at Pearl Harbor, would they have been able to detect an incoming raid or launch fighters after the first surprise attacks began?

Are sudden "emergency! get your planes in the air now!" operations possible on carriers like those in WW2?

Newbie question for fighting in China

<t> Just a quick overall strategy question for fighting in China. How can you figure out and estimate the number of enemy forces you're facing? I hate having to do a deliberate attack just to determine this, only to come out with large casualties because it turns out their force was enormous.<br ...

I'll never be upset with people reposting Irootoko's colorized pics site. That guy is doing an absolutely stunning job.

How to only load a certain amount of supplies?

Is there any way to partially load an AK to a certain level of supplies? Sometimes I don't want to send a fully-loaded ship to deliver supplies somewhere, such as on the Guadalcanal scenario.

Any workarounds to help?

RE: Slider Suggestions for New Game Screen

More options NEVER hurt. I really want hyperdrive speed, fuel consumption, and galaxy size sliders. The current galaxy is waaay too small. This would add much more replayability... right now I colonize the universe too quickly.

RE: How do I make interstellar travel SLOW?

Yeah, I've been messing around with the "hyperdrivespeed" in startup.ini. It seems the default is something like 1.6, and it doesn't do anything for values less than 1.0.

How do I make interstellar travel SLOW?

I want to make interstellar travel VERY SLOW in order to increase the sense of distance in the game. How can I do this? Thanks!
