Fiddling around with screen resolution didn't help, but turning off the PO assist buttons did! [:)]

Why is the circle of stars (on the right side) missing? Has it something to do with screen size/resolution?

<t> I have the same problem with all my 5 discs!!! What is the solution? Bad discs? I don't have time to search the whole internet (or just this forum) for the solution - and even if a would have the time, i don't want to - after all i paid much (!) money for the games!
