red Thunder II 1988 -Air units

I was playing the scenario Red Thunder II 1988 4.7 for TOAWIV. I had saved my game in turn 5, with computer playing NATO. After I reload the game, I continue playing until turn 11. But I noticed the NATO airforce was resting completely. I entered as human as NATO and verified this. By manually ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Thank you Bob for your efforts. It is really very impressive and interesting work.
I like all new features. I also like the additions that involves adding pics to each Commander....
Please...would it be possible to add a similar feature for equipment? For example, now when we click on one equipment ...

Re: Russo-German War AAR

Thank you! I understand. :)
By the way, this scenario Russo-German war is designed to be played as Soviet Human against computer Elmer German opponent right? is it not adjusted to be played as German human right?

Re: Russo-German War AAR

Thanks a lot! I understand that on the Excel you are moving manually the Army IDs rather than automatically using a script to read the HQ position of each Army to be mapped on the Excel map. It is fine. I like white/light color map background, looks like boardgame

Re: Russo-German War AAR

Thanks for this AAR. Very interesting. I like both maps. For the slightly colored one, the white hexes are not snow, right?, it is plain terrain I guess. I liked the boardgame style. And regarding the bottom one (full desaturated/black white), can you tell me how did you do it? is it photo ...

This one is my favorite so far, congratulations, did you update/make the same style for WarPlan Europe?

Hi all,
Firstly thankyou for showing some continuing interest in this mod.
Took a while to find some of the images, most are spread out in this thread.
I have tweaked the map a little since it ...

Re: About the possibility of open Source code

This is a fantastic game ("Hex of Steel" ) with great graphics, clean UI, and the best zoom I have ever seen in a wargame. Of course simpler in many ways than TOAW but very inspiring, specially when you know that it is done by a single-programmer (one-man made game). I wish future developments of ...

max round per battle: Normandy

I was searching for D-day scenarios at Battalion/Rgt level, and I found this one "Two weeks in Normandy". I was surprised to see "max Round per battle 99". In my understanding, the max round per battle is capped to 10? (when we see the report of a battle, we can see how the battle progressed ...

Hex of Steel

Hello, I have just found this game today, and I wonder if some of TOAW players have tried it.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1240630/Hex_of_Steel/

It seems it has a powerful editor to design many different campaigns or battles similar to the TOAW capabilities, although TOAW seems more detailed ...

Re: [RESOLVED (REVERTED)] Texture definition?

thanks, please let me know if there is a fix or improvement. I would gladly follow it. This is how I see it with BMNG layer and LAnd cover (yellow/red one). There is heavy pixelation in the borders of the Balearic islands (mediterranean sea), and for the LAnd Cover layer, it is completely pixelated.

Re: [RESOLVED (REVERTED)] Texture definition?

my latest attempt to play this game (I had to reinstall it) has led to identical observations than those done by the user "Kobu" at the beginning of the post. The version i use is 1328.14, the latest "official" patch. So this issue with layers is far to be resolved.

Re: Pacific At War ( with programmed PO )

Hello Larry, thanks a lot for posting this interesting AAR. May i ask if this scenario is the same as the PAcific at War 1941-1945 v3.63 that comes with the TOAW4 game? And is it programmed PO for both allied & Japanese? thank you.

I confirm that it is not working correctly either in version 1290.1. Tested with latest Tacview 1.9.05 Beta.

Thanks.
