Ah!! thanks for that. I tend to leave my fleets automated so that explains the apparent randomness of it appearing. Does the colour denote the stance?

I understand spheres of influence this is another circle that seems to appear periodically at colonised systems. It is always blue rgardless of empire colour and apears to be hatched.

Okay I thought I was going mad. The initial buildup of colonies seems alot slower since the new patch and the aitomation doesn't seem to request many military ships.

Wow can't wait for this one it addresses nearly all my issues with the game. Had a fantastic game this weekend but on a 700 star map but by the end it just looked like a mess of blue which was my colour will be great to control whats displayed on the map.
