RE: Level of details. Сameras

<t> I had such an experience while playing "Good Morning Malvinas" a few days ago - I sent a Sea Harrier with EO equipment on a recon mission over Goose Green and form about 5000 m it couldn't see a thing so I manually ordered that to descend lower. Immediately it spotted and identified a lot of ...

RE: CMANO and Harpoon

Funny thing - my thread form 2 and half years ago where I was seeking advice whether I should include Harpoon UCE in my naval warfare digital studies if I had already had CMANO was one of the two threads summarily closed by the admin here. Now ... this?

RE: Four Ounces Can Move a Thousand Pounds - has anyone played that as JMSDF?

<t> I didn't mention having used helos as means of safe detection because it was so obvious, especially with EMCON state A for the Japanese SAGs. Nevertheless with the Chinese equipment all on the ships piked up their radars any way and then I just used helos to triangulate precise data. <br/>

RE: Four Ounces Can Move a Thousand Pounds - has anyone played that as JMSDF?

<t> At some point my two SAGSs also sped at top speed they could squeeze form their formation which I wasn't sure was quite realistic or perhaps I just prefer pinpoint all the bits and pieces of data and intel I can only and aimed at detection without counter-detection first. Not much success as as ...

RE: Four Ounces Can Move a Thousand Pounds - has anyone played that as JMSDF?

<t> Thanks a lot; apparently much better results that I have ever achieved, but that may be at least partially due to my careful approach in the way I handle things. To my estimation you must have destroyed both Northern and Southern SAGs and the minelaying group; the guns may be indeed a key to ...

Four Ounces Can Move a Thousand Pounds - has anyone played that as JMSDF?

<t> As per thread subject; quite some time ago I played that as the PLAN and didn't have much of a problem with any of the missions as per scenario orders. I guess I have won this, sunk Hibiki and its entourage, mined what was to be mined -- well, it was some time ago indeed. So after all that time ...

RE: New Q.E. Aircraft Carrier

<t> ... and that was a good one - I had heaps of fun with that one over a year ago and moreover it made me return to the game and stay with that. Sincerely recommended though always when I win I feel uneasy as if I was cheated whereas when I lose it pisses me off like hell. Like in Falklands '78 as ...

RE: New Scenario for test Naval Border War Ecuador v Peru 1992

By the way, thanks a lot mikkey - somehow I never know where to find them any more, do I need a NILO clearance or something to access them? I forgot I might have checked the members' area though.

RE: New Scenario for test Naval Border War Ecuador v Peru 1992

<t> Don't know for sure, had multiple contacts up north going in various directions, but I didn't prosecute them any further as there was a clear and confirmed indication as to where to turn for the big prize. Angamos was guarding the entry into the AO in there, but I didn't press them into ...

RE: New Scenario for test Naval Border War Ecuador v Peru 1992

<t> I see. Indeed I came to the conclusion that there wasn't detailed evaluation implemented and I didn't need that, but that often prompts me to assume that the men and the equipment are expendable. Not very likely in second to third world states albeit not only Reaganomics made the life there ...

I'll play it within a couple of days, I also liked that scenario in Harpoon even though I had not managed to play that before, but I have been keeping that on my radar, so to speak.

<t> Alright, so far so good I daresay. RE: The first air ops tutorial

<t> I decide to resurrect this thread as Mark seemed to have hit the point, especially when it comes to air ops here, when he said that the game / sim that aims at operations needs to be operational not only in scale, but mainly regarding the way it works. After years with both Command Ops and CMANO ...

So how about that South Georgia scenario you were once planning when you released the already mentioned scenario of yours - "Good Morning Malvinas", one of the best Falkland war scenarios I have ever played in this game?

RE: Ship move to new formation with FULL-Speed

<t> Which is micromanaging to say the least. While I don't have anything against that I think it is justified to feel that there should be at least some level of liberty to that so you can choose if you want to do everything manually. I say if you order a task force to act in concert within given ...
