RE: Why won't air group load onto TF at off-map port

Also, you might want to make sure that the taskforce is not unloading immediately after it finishes loading. That's probably not the case considering it's docked at Capetown, but it was the culprit for some of my confusion about shipping management.

RE: It Begins

<t> Thanks Alfred, I'll look into that. All three destroyers were fresh and full ammo, but the engagement did occur fairly close to Manila. Plus, after examining its routing back to Pescadores, it is really going out of its way to avoid the Luzon airbases so I think that's the issue. I think I ...

<r> Now for the best news: Carrier Battle!<br/>
<br/>
After the second day of striking Pearl Harbor I had KB moving to cover a Wake landing. During the replay today I was shocked to see the message: TF1 reacting to enemy carriers at Johnston Island(even though react was set to 0 - no complaints ...

RE: Staving Off Inevitable Defeat - GoTraurig(J) vs. Bandkanon(A)

<t> PaxMondo: You're right about that. Thanks for the tip. I'd also completely forgotten to decide and prepare for which kamikaze model I'll use. I like the stats of the Tsurugi - how many kamikazes do you think are necessary? It should be possible to build up an engine pool for it before lowering ...

I think I'll go with Helens eventually instead of Sallys for IJA level bombers. That means I'll need to ramp up Ha-34 engine production in 4/42. I think 82 Sally production initially ...

Staving Off Inevitable Defeat - GoTraurig(J) vs. Bandkanon(A)

<t> Hello everyone, I'm about to start up a Scenario 2 game as the Japanese. We're playing with the latest Beta. Just recently, I have decided to make an AAR to accompany it. My goals for this AAR are to enjoy writing this, help organization, increase my turn punctuality, and, perhaps, hopefully be ...

RE: Anemic Pearl Harbor Strikes

<t> LoBaron: Yes, I considered that too. I'm pretty sure the targets for all of them were Pearl Harbor. I'd been setting them by using Kaga's airgroups to set the settings and then clicking the button to generalize the orders for all the Kates in the TF. After that, I would double-check each of the ...

RE: Anemic Pearl Harbor Strikes

<t> crsutton: While I agree that the results of the strike are largely irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, my main concern is getting KB to perform strikes properly. KB is, of course, one of Japan's most important strategic assets - being unable to regularly launch more than half the Kates on ...

RE: Anemic Pearl Harbor Strikes

<t> Ok, I'd realized my strike force was weaker than it should be, but I didn't notice how consistent it was. Only 72 out of 144 Kates flying pretty much explains my results and the low torpedo usage. My zeroes sometimes don't go at full strength either, but that's not too big of a deal.<br/>

RE: Anemic Pearl Harbor Strikes

<t> LoBaron: I don't know whether the AAA strength was increased, but that would normally be a reasonable explanation. However, Bandkanon, my prospective opponent, with the same version as me, did three tests with exactly the same settings (he was eager for me to get the PBEM started). Two of his ...

RE: Anemic Pearl Harbor Strikes

<t> Erkki and khyberbill: While it is somewhat comforting to hear that others are experiencing poor strikes, only one attack, out of the fifteen or so I performed, sank two BBs. The rest were significantly weaker than the average results I'm seeing from AARs and even what was historical.<br/>

RE: Allied Grand Campaign Questions - no Bandkanon

<t> My apologies for the vague and overly broad questions guys. Not to be dismissive, but the reason they're all so general is that when I had specific questions I've mostly been able to find the answers here or muddle through with my own solutions. From your answers, I take it that being so passive ...
