Re: So why didn't you buy?

Does it really need a rewrite/third generation engine to fix the issue that's the reason for the pause in that?

Uh...there's never been a re-write and there never will be.

The OVERLORD engine is THE game engine--it exists right now. It's what we are ALPHA testing as I write. Desert War and ...

Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm 40% Off!

Great game engine. Time to buy! Finally got mine. I know...I admit it--life-long wargamers are cheap sum-bitches. $

Dev Log: Bradley's Front--Battle of the Bulge

Started. This game will expand the North and South flanks of the typical Bulge game to include all of 1st (US) Army's defensive sector. Representing the larger operational context is the key. Don Timian is our lead order of battle researcher/developer.

OVERLORD ALPHA testing continues. If we aren't published by D-DAY plus 80--we suck TOTALLY .

OBTW, we are testing an advanced game engine that exists --there is no more "design" to implement. That's the only way scenario creation/development and ALPHA ...

Re: So why didn't you buy?

For me personally, it was a mix of all those things above and some others:

- a bit too high of a price for a "new" series from a "new" devloper (I know you guys made a game before) and having no ability to refund here, every purchase is an all-in situation

- inconsistent UI (although remedied ...

Re: Does the game end in Nov 1942?

Stalingrad covers the battles between 23 July and 16 November 1942. We are currently ALPHA testing Monty's Front Volume I (WEGOWW2: OVERLORD). Once OVERLORD is published we plan to update the Desert War and Stalingrad games engines. These will be made available via patch. Monty's Front Volume II ...

Hey Michael,

I’ll let others say their peace. Me? I’ve accepted challenges and issued challenges and had fun every time…and learned how to play better in the process. You’re not going to find a multitude of PBEMrs here. In fact, when things are going good? You can count them all on one hand. All ...

Hi there,

I am new to the game.. well even haven´t bought it.
But from reading the very well and clear written manual I think this game might be exactly my cup of tea.
So many clever and interesting design decisions here (fluid ZOC, the supply rules, air warfare rules, etc. very very nice ...

Re: Monty's Front Desert War Upgrade

Thanks for the question. We have no plans for a Desert War "patch". We do have plans to upgrade Desert War to the Monty's Front game engine standard. The first WEGO Monty's Front game--OVERLORD--is currently undergoing ALPHA testing. MARKET-GARDEN will follow close behind OVERLORD's publication ...
