Why is this down on the steam workshop?

It's too bad this changed. In Distant Worlds 1, even AI would colonize bad worlds if they had some empire wide special on it.

In Distant worlds 1, you could force colonize really low suitability planets.

This is useful, if you want to rely on later terraforming tech to make i suitable and grab it early.
Or if the planet has specials such as empire wide boosts.

However, I can't figure out how to do this.

Basically, if I had a owned combat ship selected, then moved the mouse at all, all CPU cores would shoot to 100%.

I could pan with the keyboard just fine, but using the mouse at all when one of MY combat ships ...

I simply set my frame limit to 60. That was it.

OMG. THIS FIXED MY BUG. THANK YOU.

Seriously I've been fighting a bug where any combat ship selected and mouse movement.

Ship selected, moving mouse in a circular pattern.

Ok another good clue.

It only happens while
1. A ship I own is selected
2. Move the mouse at all. If I just twirl the mouse around all CPUs hit 100 and stay there.

Does not occur if
1. A enemy ship is selected
2. A fleet is selected

I came back to play after a long break. I didn't have this issue during the early versions.

Just tested the beta 1.1.5.6. Same thing first time I loaded. Reloaded same battle and didn't occur again. Maybe next battle...

At least 1 condition where it happens.
With a ship selected AND ...

I am also having lagging issues. It seems to happen consistently when my ships are fighting gravillex. All my CPU cores go full and it stutters for a bit.

After reinstall, it works fine.

Sorry, I DO have legends installed as well. Forgot to mention it.

I'm in the process of installing from scratch.

I can't seem to run the beta.exe installer.

It simply says "not compatible with my computer. Check if you you need a 32-bit or 64-bit version..."

Almost like it is corrupt download.

That may be a mistake. They hinted at having deep space colonies for the expansion, but it was never included.

This may be a remnant that didn't get removed.
