I'm on the most recent patch, and my ships are being really weird. I can't get some to refuel. I gave the fleet (on manual) a refuel order. All fly to the nearest refuel, and some get fuel, but many drift off. I select them ...

Speaking of fuel tankers... can someone tell me how I should be using them? I just attach them to my fleet and hope they're doing good things, and have a couple unattached to any fleet on automatic. I'm hoping they're just taking care of problems around my region?

I'm having a lot of trouble controlling my fleets. They're set to manual, but when I click on an enemy ship, they turn and jump off on their own. I went into the tactics settings and changed it to "never retreat" and "aggressive" and am still getting the same behavior. They seem to do whatever they ...

Any way to turn off the Hive? It's kind of tanking my current, 20+ hour game. Not sure I can push through it. Not sure I want to start another game if this could happen again. Maybe I'll just get luckier next time around.

I'm having trouble with Asteroid Fields. First - my explorers on auto always waste years and years on them (and always seem to go for them first). Second, they seem useless. Am I missing something? Should I ever build a mining station there? I've never seen a reason to.

I'm loving the game but can't figure out a few things:

First: Why do I need scanners on my ships at all, at least at the first couple of levels. It mentions something about jump tracking, but I can always see enemies so what's the point? What do they actually do?
