RE: Bill Brown

That is sad news indeed. I played a short game with him a couple of years ago. He was a good, solid guy. RIP my friend.

I believe Japan also gets an extra Zero air group or two. Same with Betties.

<t> Nice! The industry in Calcutta along with the resources of southeast India and oil from Magwe make a nice addition to the Empire. This puts you in a great position to take all of China and harvest a ton of VPs for all those Chinese LCUs. And in case those goodies aren't enough, you'll be able to...

RE: Switch thread?

<t> Kris - When you right click your new icon to start the game, it brings up a pop-up. At the bottom of the pop-up is Properties. Left click this and another pop-up will appear. The third line down is named Target. This is the field where the switches are added at the end of the path name to the Wi...

RE: Switch thread?

<t> kris279 - the desktop icon that is automatically created when you install the game will not let you use switches. Toss that icon and make a new shortcut to WitPAE.exe and copy it to your desktop. This will be the one you select in the target field and add the switches as needed. Autorun is a bat...

Do as rustysi suggests and look at the other thread. You'll find several examples of resolution options and switch settings to get you game going in no time.

<t> And here's the one I use on a 27" monitor. It expands the visible map area by about 50%-75% while maintaining reasonably easy to read font sizes with an acceptable aspect ratio. It's a tradeoff between map coverage vs readability. The size of your monitor and the age of your eyeballs should dete...

Oops, I forgot about the autorun file. Toss that file and make a new shortcut to WitPAE.exe and copy it to your desktop. This will be the one you select in the target field and add the switches as needed. Autorun is a bat file that doesn't read the switches.

RE: Switch thread?

If you right click on the WitP-AE shortcut icon then select Properties from the popup menu, the Target field where the switches go is third line from the top.

<t> Take a look at Toyota/Subaru 86. It has a bit more power (200hp) in a 2,000 lb car. And they handle like they are on rails. Great fun. And if you pack light, luggage will actually fit in the thing. The only drawback is that they like to share the road noise with their passengers. It's worth a lo...
