RE: Three Moves Ahead Podcast on Logistics

There is also "Home Before the Leaves Fall" that covers the same time period as France14 at a smaller scale (1 day turns instead of 1 week turns, etc.)

RE: ".eqp" error driving me crazy

<t> FYI, I'm still getting this error no matter what I do or no matter where i put the .eqp file. There was the mention of a "EQP" folder, so I made one and put the .eqp file in it, but perhaps it has to be case specific? I have no idea.<br/>

I'm seriously suspecting that perhaps it does ...

RE: ".eqp" error driving me crazy

<t> Thanks for the responses guys. I haven't tried putting it in the EQP folder so I'll give that a shot.<br/>
<br/>
Just to be clear, I'm very happy TOAW III supports scenario-specific equipment, I remember Daniel McBride complaining about how he couldn't set a separate replacement rate for ...

".eqp" error driving me crazy

<t> I was playing France14 with my opponent; he was playing as the Germans, sent me his first turn. I loaded it up, set my password, no problems. We played maybe 4 turns and decided it really isn't that great of a scenario. So we decide to give "Before the Leaves Fall" a chance.<br/>

RE: Work in progress

<t> Wow, Stettin is 9 hexes?&nbsp; How many hexes is Berlin???<br/>
<br/>
I definitely think you should focus on a smaller scenario covering just the area around Berlin as you can always expand it later.<br/>
<br/>
By the way, since you guys are obviously very familiar with the campaign, I read ...

RE: Work in progress

Wow, that's intense.&nbsp; At that level of detail I don't envy the amount of research you'll have to do.&nbsp; Plus balancing the victory conditions will be an interesting challenge.&nbsp; But I certainly look forward to playing it!

RE: Taking the plunge...

<t> Hi Pierre, thanks for the quick response.&nbsp; <br/>
<br/>
I'm familiar with the historical campaign and a long ways back I played the Normandy 44 scenario quite a bit.&nbsp; I'm fine playing either side, but as I'm having to re-learn the game perhaps the Allied side would be better for a ...

Taking the plunge...

<t> Looking for an opponent for something small-medium-ish. Strongly prefer WWI or WWII. Was thinking along the lines of 2 weeks in Normandy (never actually played it before). Would like to eventually gear up to a larger scenario.<br/>

RE: More questions: Manual and McBride?

<t> Very understandable that the scenario author should have full control over the distribution of his own scenarios, and its nice to see that backed up with legal language in the manual. I was just curious as to whether there was an announcement or discussion of any kind back when this happened as ...

More questions: Manual and McBride?

<t> A couple more questions as I try to get back into the swing of things:<br/>
<br/>
1. Is the PDF manual available anywhere online for download? Obviously I have a copy of it on my computer at home but it would be nice to have a copy at work too. It's a little too large to email.<br/>

RE: I'm back! With questions...

After trying it out, I have to say the new clicking convention is great.&nbsp; Much quicker the majority of the time.&nbsp; However, I would like to tweak the delay from holding down the right mouse button just a tiny bit shorter.&nbsp; Where would I do this?

RE: I'm back! With questions...

Just a guess but its probably the same convention as normal attacks, where you have to hold the right mouse button down over the target and the menu will pop up after a short delay.&nbsp; Try it and see.

RE: I'm back! With questions...

<t> Thanks for the rapid response Ralph, as I mentioned your continued support for the game is what tipped me over into making the purchase.<br/>

The funny thing is I would never have even thought to try such a modern convention as using the mouse wheel to zoom the map!&nbsp; I actually ...

I'm back! With questions...

<t> Hi guys,<br/>
<br/>
I played TOAW II: COW for several years a while back and really enjoyed it. It was with great surprise and joy that I discovered Matrix games had released TOAW III a few months ago. However, what finally tipped me over to pick it up was Ralph's support for game patches. The ...
