RE: Enhancement request

And this is why I love this game.

ORIGINAL: Capn Darwin

I'll see if we can roll this into the back of the 2.04 update.

RE: Update on 2.03 for the masses...

Still gotta root for the Reds. 8 more games then its on to a new season. Maybe a head coach change and a better season.

RE: Update on 2.03 for the masses...

No patch but the good news is there will be 8 hours of soccer on TV Saturday morning. I would have loved to play 2.03 while watching the games but I guess I shouldn't get greedy. Lets get a Win Manchester United!

RE: I hate FPC:RS

I think Cafe Press sells a lot of merchandise for websites. I don't think you make much money from sales but they do all of the leg work. I have never used them but I've seen a few other sites use them. Might be something for someone to look into.

I see a lot more red crosses than blue crosses. Thats always a good sign.

RE: Hell's Crossroad

I would have preferred facing Chieftains instead of Challengers. The British 120mm is bad news but a British 120mm and Chobham armor is really bad news. Bringing T-64s to a Challenger tank fight is not a bright idea.

RE: Hell's Crossroad

<t> Screen shot of the final map minus units. I think the red/blue death crosses tell the story. The final few turns were bloody for both sides. The AI focused its attack around the southern approaches of Samern. The southern 1000 VP locations changed hands a few times. I had my BTRs and BMPs up nor...

RE: Hell's Crossroad

Arthritis had me in bed all day but I got some good gaming time in. That was a fun scenario to play and I just finished it. The AI shifted its focus to the center and the southern VP. Those Challenger tanks are some tough buggers. If I am in bed again tomorrow, I'll try it again but as NATO.

Hell's Crossroad

<r> I have no idea if the screen shot will post but her I go.....<br/> <br/> Not really an AAR but it fits this category better than the others. I am playing as the Pact against a NATO AI in the 'Hell's Crossroad' scenario. My plan was to hold the center and flank north and south. The BAORs Warriors...

RE: Hell's Crossroad *Spoilers*

<t> Thank for the fast reply. I am playing this as the Warsaw Pact forces now and have not played as NATO. Either my attack in the south is going well or I'm walking into an ambush. I am gonna occupy the center and flank on the north and south. I was hoping for more artillery support for the Soviets...

RE: Hell's Crossroad *Spoilers*

I was hoping you could answer a question I had. What occurred west of Salzbergen to cause all those red crosses? It is the area between the two forest. I can see a bunch of crater holes there but don't know if the Brit artillery did all that damage.

<t> I always seem to get confused on posting in a thread. This is not a reply to anyone but just my thoughts. <br/> <br/> I know I am the new guy here but thought I'd post my thoughts. Speaking in terms of game mechanics, I think the VP system works fine as it is. I think if changes were made to the...

RE: The Black Effect

<t> I would recommend 'Team Yankee' by Coyle and 'Chieftains' by Forrest-Webb. I love the 'Armageddons Song' series by Farman. 'Arclight' by Eric Harry is a great read. The first half of the book is focused on nuclear weapons and leadership. The last half of the book follows a US Army officer who ge...

RE: Subunit Inspector question.

<t> That is a really good question. I have no idea what it means. To be honest I have seen those numbers and never thought about them. I looked through all of my units and the only thing I notice is the bigger the weapon the bigger the 'area' number is. The USA MLRS has an 'area' number of 21 and th...

Thor's Hammer

<t> Well....'Plan A' worked up until I hit start. A lot of bad things happened very quickly. I just finished turn one and I think my British Soldiers better start looking for white flags. Great story behind the scenario and I think the situation would have happened like this more times than not. Its...
