Thanks for the reply, which makes sense. I've added the table you provided to a jpeg file that I maintain of charts and tables from the game, mainly pages 174 - 178 of the manual.

I will add that I think the game's supply system is well designed and well executed and one of the better supply ...

Confused about supply impact on reinforcements

On page 105 of the manual, in the first paragraph of the section 'REINFORCING UNITS', it states that " ...and its current supply value allows for an increase in strength [i.e., unit supply is > 5 ) ."
