RE: I dislike the OOB's and the whole approach to unit composition

<t> Also the fact that militia start with articulated combined arms formations and the actual state organised army cant do this is nuts.<br/>
<br/>
Like most people I would prefer the full TOE editor from ATG perhaps with the staff council generating 'design points' that allow you to create new ...

RE: I dislike the OOB's and the whole approach to unit composition

<t> I think a simple quick fix would be to unlock the mixed rifle/MG/RPG infantry brigades as soon as the corresponding weapon is developed.<br/>
<br/>
EG I develop RPG I can then create a mixed infantry brigade with RPGS and heavy machine guns integrated into them - I think this is presently ...

RE: I dislike the OOB's and the whole approach to unit composition

<t> Ok having just read other parts of this forum I can see the kind of mixed units I want do become available later in the OOB tech tree.<br/>
<br/>
I am in turn 100 of my current game and still have fairly basic OOBs so will be cranking up BPs allocation to the Staff council when I load the game ...

I dislike the OOB's and the whole approach to unit composition

<t> I am a massive fan of the game and indeed have become somewhat obsessed with it...<br/>
<br/>
I understand Vic doesn't want us min/maxing our military and making new formation types something that needs to be researched adds to the game but the current rigid OOB system is IMO a step back from ...

Suitability rating and jobs

Hello,

Quick question..is their a view that shows me how suitable my pool of leaders are to a particular job?

I realise you can see suitability rating but I am not sure what job this is relevant to?

RE: ATG: Wishlist thread

Second the suggestion to make the AI use fixed TOE's...the current strange compositions the AI uses are immersion breaking.

RE: Artillery

In a mod where a counter represents a division maybe the change is just aesthetic - make 'mortar' elements the divisional artillery. Get rid of the separate artillery units with maybe an exception for siege guns?

RE: British invasions of mainland France

In both my games the British AI has landed a 15ish strong stack in France - using two stacks to defend against that with enough strength to be confident of winning an offensive battle means 40 units held back in the defence of France which IMO is not viable when at war with Austria and Russia

British invasions of mainland France

<t> Any else find it tedious to play whack a mole against British troop stacks rampaging through France (and forcing all your dispersed naval squadrons have to leave port and be killed in the channel).<br/>
<br/>
Particularly annoying as if they are two provinces ahead of your pursuing army you ...

Please let us delegate one or more fronts/AGs to AI control...

<t> I love the game so far but even at divisional scale moving and fighting all across the front can be very time consuming and sometimes feels out of kilter with being an operational commander at this scale.<br/>
<br/>
Is it possible a mechanism could be introduced whereby the player can delegate ...

RE: A little gem of a game

<t> Agree with the comments above this is a cracking game well worth even the expensive Matrix pricing. [:'(]<br/>
<br/>
Anyway I would have loved the ability to play as the Romans - you would have to use some 'senate orders' which would force you to confront Hannibal early on with your sub par ...
