RE: Whole air group defected

<t> I don't use a public beta version, So far I patched up only if the updater said I should, so it's probably official. The version I am playing with is 1.00.11 and the updater doesn't find a newer version (it's from April though).<br/>
<br/>
If it's fixed in 1.01.09B, I may patch it manually. It ...

Whole air group defected

<r> I am playing the 1941 campaign as Axis against the AI, just to get a feel of the new game mechanics.<br/>
<br/>
After a couple of turns, I tried to transfer an air group (I./KG 2) closer to the front. As target I chose a level 2 airbase, could be Lepel, but not sure. As it happens, the game ...

RE: 1.06.23 Public Beta Hotfix - English and German versions

<t> Hotfix runs fine (still on XP), but I encountered a possible bug. I haven't seen it in 1.06.22, although I didn't play it for long, so take it with a grain of salt, it might have been already there.<br/>

RE: Error after finishing a round!

I used Kasperski (recurring license) for almost three years and man, am I happy that one day out of sheer anger I pulled the plug and got rid of it. It felt like a computer upgrade to double performance.

RE: Glimpse of things to come - Gary's latest AI improvements!

Pity I missed the picture, and now it's gone. What was it about? After some extended break I'm planning to start an AI game, and judging by the general reaction it's probably worthwhile to wait.

RE: What use for German RHG units?

<t> The RHG commands were responsible for the administration of the first couple of hundred km behind the front. RHG means "Rückwärtiges Heeresgebiet" (rear military area). They had the security divisions attached, but sometimes also regular divisions, which is impossible in the game, and ...

RE: Need Help

<t> The victory conditions throw the Germans a bone in the end. If you don't lose the land you started with by the end date of the scenario, you win. Despite the fact that it's really funny to imagine Stalin saying, oh, so we failed to win by autumn 1945, so lets stop the steamroller and let the ...

RE: Toss us a bone

That aside, I'd prefer gimmicks allowing you to get to Stalino on turn 5 be taken out of the game. That has nothing to do with being creative, it's simply a gamebreaking flaw.

Man you are stubborn. Do you know a HQ just left to its own devices in the rear will build up with fuel. Maybe not 1000 dumps. But several hundred, even without HQ BU. A player can move said HQ forward with its gas and other supplies and ...

RE: Toss us a bone

<t> I'm not telling it's easy or convenient. I'm telling it's clearly not WAD. I'm not even calling for a nerf, I just see it coming, that an empty HQ won't get a flatrate of fuel and supplies anymore (that's the whole problem here), but only for the units directly attached. I don't care if you see ...

<t> German Corps had one or several "Arko" (Artillerie-Kommandeur), staffs to lead attached army artillery. They didn't have own troops, they led battalions attached to "Artillerie-Regiments-Stab", see below. They also typically had a "Korps-Nachrichten-Abteilung" (corps communication battalion ...

RE: Question on SUs...

<t> Your settings mean, you want 3 of all support unit types (arty, anti-air, anti-tank, SP gun, rocket etc.) into every corps, 2 into every army and 1 into every army group. That some HQs received nothing has the reason, that there are simply not enough SUs of one or more particular types.<br ...

Its not even worth the time to debate with people like you.

Yes, your precious time is better spent looking for a new exploit. Perhaps you find a few seconds to wave this one goodbye. [:D]

To be won, a combat needs at least 2:1 odds. The Germans have to achieve these odds by themselves, the Soviets only have to achieve 1:1 odds and get another 1 for free: (1+1):1.
