I’ve played both WitE1 and WitW and have been considering a purchase of WitE2. As some others have noted, it is not clear to me whether the play-balance issues discussed in this thread are due to Assault HQs overall or more generally to the ...

RE: June 42 - its sunny

<t> Speaking of logistics, have you connected all of the resource factories in the Ukraine to your rail net? For the "long war", this might prove a useful addition to German industry. The factories in the Dnepr bend and Donbass, plus Kerch should add about 180 extra resource points when fully ...

If enough supply is delivered by air (500 tons, I think), units will not be isolated. Perhaps that's why.

RE: Axis Naval Supply Black Sea

The ports in the Baltic sea have the same issue. A work around is to put a FBD/NKPS on an import port, wait for it to fill up and then change it to an export port.

RE: First Winter Blues

<t> Playing against the Soviet AI at 110 (everything), I found that during the winter I could only reliably hold onto territories around super depots. Using all of my FBD on depots, I could hold onto the Volkhov, Rhzev, Orel and Stalino, while the AI could advance more or less at will between these ...

RE: Observation and Quick Though

<t> To some extent, it is already possible to role-play in solo play by imposing certain restrictions on yourself, to simulate political demands. For example, you could use level bombers to bomb manpower in Moscow and other big cities, or you could use dice/RNG to determine offensive goals or to ...

RE: Odessa

<t> In my current game vs Soviet AI at 110 morale I left it to the Roumainians. It took the whole Roumainian 4th Army about a month and somewhere around 50 000 casualties to take it, but their manpower pool should be enough to sustain those losses. Also, I thought that there were no reason to ...

<t> I think this introduced a new bug. When trying to assign a support unit to a unit that is placed on a named location, then instead of getting a list of support units that can be assigned to that unit, you get the list of AA/construction units that can be assigned to the location that the unit is ...

Is it possible to see the numerical value of detection levels? According to the manual (10.2.2) it should still be visible in the pop up when you mouse over enemy units. However, this isn't the case at the present.

Ok, now I understand. I was a bit confused with how the dates were presented, but it makes sense now given how the weather changes.

Three minor bugs

<t> I've discovered three small bugs:<br/>
<br/>
1. The dates on the Weather Estimation-screen are wrong. The report for the current turn uses the date of the previous turn, and the estimation for the next turn uses the date of the current turn. The report and estimation themselves however appear ...

This isn't a typo in the manual, however the element "160mm Stielgranade AT Gun" should be spelled "160mm Stielgranate AT Gun", with a "t" instead of a "d".

RE: T62

In the battle reports, there is a number in parenthesis next to the number of fighters commmitted by the attacker. Is this something new to WitE 2? I can't remember that it was present in WitW.

RE: Defending the Rodina - A Soviet WiTE2 AAR

<t> One thing I alway's felt was missing in WitW was the ability to order air groups to avoid heavy concentrations of AA in their "operational square". In that game one could, for example, mark a 4x4 square for interdiction, and in a couple of hexes in that square there would be very heavy AA ...

RE: Game Concepts: The Air War

Thank you for the answer. That seems reasonable. In WitW division-level drops could generate a quite a bit of interdiction but brigade/regiment-level drops were always a throw of the dice.
