RE: It is 1944 - have I already lost?

<t> Results: I parked 15 tank corps as advised. Disbanded a bunch of tank regiments while replacing with assault gun regiments and never ran low on medium tanks. I reactivated 6 of those tank corps toward the end.<br/>
Disbanded all of the bombers.<br/>
Two to three fronts were inactive every week ...

Truck lend-lease in '45. I am so screwed.

It really drops off to 1500 per week? Is that historical? I just activated a tank army.

Hungarians in Romania

<r> I could not find it, but it makes sense to me that the Hungarians would not be allowed to move into Romania. <br/>
So in this game it would place the Hungarian Army at risk of having no place to go with an aggressive attack West by the North Caucus front.<br/>

3 air attacks per turn?

<r> Suddenly I am able to attack a hex 3 times as Soviet. Has it always been this way since 1.09? I have been self limiting to 2?<br/>
This is before any ground combat. My air force is at 25000 aircraft. Almost no bombers.<br/>

Well, I do not want to mention T*ll*r in this context, but it is possible to take one of their save files and import it into the editor. [:D].
I would so much love to do that. I am so tired of doing turn 1.

I guess they couldn't rout to Finland and German lands were more than 40mp away.

Finnish Front, odd surrender

<r> Leningrad fell earlier in the turn. The two divisions should have routed out of their recently isolated state. Instead, they surrendered. The two divisions have disappeared. However, note the low casualties. This is reflected on all of the casualties screens. The full manpower from the divisions ...

Soviet Assault Engineer Brigades. Useful?

It seems that these have 135 sapper squads and a Soviet rifle corps loaded with three regiments has 243. Seems to have little value in this game unless it can be attached as a support unit - Perhaps in WITE II.

RE: Frontal Assault against heavy urban

<t> I do not disagree. My observation is that I do not think there is a historical situation where a single contested 10KM square urban box was subjected to relentless attack for 30 days (with a new attack every two days with varying amounts of relatively fresh troops). Half of the attacks are with ...

<r> Amazingly, May had 4 clear turns in a row so I could hammer on Leningrad with multiple attacks each turn.<br/>
My expectation is that the city would fall to the red Army masses. No so.<br/>
The last turn's results are illustrative. Notice that there is barely any decrease in defensive strength ...
