Re: New 08.00.00.00 Public Beta Update Available Now!

Actually I meant the very lengthy entry under "What's New in v07.00.00.00?"

But anyway, you are free to believe whatever you like. Patience is the practice of waiting with calm endurance, while hope is the expectation of a future good, and those are admirable qualities.

True, so true. But: I'm ...

Not happy with the ground strike result. :)

4% that you would miss everything. Not as low as I thought it would before I calculated. And, to make you feel better, you had a higher change of missing everything that rolling a 2 or 3 (3% total) on a 2D10. :D

Thank you. :)

Axis Observations of Allied Setups (Censored).

(1) I spent my hobby time yesterday and today (so far) examining in detail my allied opponent (ssiviour) setups.
(2) I've documented my findings in rev12 of my AAR excel spreadsheet.
(3) Unlike my other on-going AAR, which is solo, I wouldn't be ...

RAW

Each hex defends against an invasion with a notional land unit, in addition to any actual land unit in the hex. The notional unit is the same nationality as any major power or minor country with a real unit in the hex (owner’s choice if more than one). If there are no real units, it is the ...

Re: A few random questions

The yellow bar with the numbers were added to be able to log calculation times. When the game first was released, calculation times were too long. After this was fixed, they never have been removed. You can ignore them.

Re: Current State Playability?

Solitair and netplay are pretty good. However, I would advise you to make gamesaves after each naval battle (before going to the next sea area) because you don't want to redo things if the game bugs there (not that it happens often, but it's a lot of work to redo things).
One advise I will give you ...

Re: Vichy France & Bordeaux Enclave

There is an optional rule, which I think should be coded for MWIF, even though it is considered to be very pro-Axis. That's the optional rule: no ZOC on the surprise impulse. If that comes in play, you can move into Rotterdam with Germany anyhow.

From an historically point of view, this optional ...

Re: Can't restore saved games

When using netplay, one of the players makes a gamesave. The other player receives a message that the gamesave has been made on both computers at the exact same time, which makes sure both games are in sync.

When this has been done and you are exiting the game, you get another message if you want ...

Re: Can't restore saved games

This is not a known problem at all. Can you check using windows if you've got the gamesaves in right folder?

- World in Flames/Scenarios/Global War/Saved Games (if it's global war you are playing)?

Are autosaves also not reloading?

What mode of play are you using?

The Undo all button (Ctrl Z ...

It can air transport infantry divisions (not motorized ones) and PARA or MTN corps. And it can also be used for air supply missions.

Re: Vichy France & Bordeaux Enclave

Interesting questions. First, you need to take into account the political situation in France in 1939-1940. The country was politically a total mess. There was no strong leader (like Churchill in the UK) who unified the country. And this became especially visible the moment Paris was conquered by ...

Yes.

I am not sure if you disagree with me about Bordeaux, or merely comment on my parenthesis about the ships?

I would argue that you are correct, but I am not sure if the rules actually spell that out. Only land units can change control of a hex normally. During conquest aircraft are added ...
