RE: Off Topic. About Other Games.

Thanks to Abraxis, I've now been spending all of my gaming time on the little gem that is Aurora.
By far the most complicated 4X I've had the pleasure of playing, yet everything you do in that game feels so very rewarding.
I highly recommend it.

RE: Legends - Invasion and Ground Combat

In relation to the new ground combat mechanics, can we expect any new content to be patched in to Legends after release?
I really don't like the sound of waiting for an entire new expansion.

I like this creature as well. The back story is great, and I can see this creature as being more of an interesting challenge then the usual creature.

RE: Creature Contest: The Space Leach

These creatures sound great, i can picture what it would be like fighting a space leach that has been feeding from the begging of the game and survived to the late game.

This expansion will truly make an already great game, into something incredible.

These 'phased beam' weapons sound like they might just be the much requested, solid laser like weapon that stays in one beam from the weapon to the target, YAY!

With every post by Erik, more items are ticked off the wishlist.

But I must ask, will we be seeing new weapons systems e.g mass drivers?

Perhaps if only the generic ones were added in the beginning, more could simply be patched in over time?

Interesting i just happened to be looking at that exact news page about the "Diamond planet" right before i came to this post?

But perhaps if it were to be implemented into the game it would have a high scenery rating.

RE: OT Discussion: Feasibility of an Orbital Elevator

On the subject of terrorism being an issue, I could see the space elevator&nbsp;as being very heavily guarded by the military. I doubt that such a large investment would go unprotected enough to be sabotaged by anything but a nuclear weapon.

<t> It does definitely seem that with further development of carbon nano-tubes that a space elevator will be the way of the future. <br/>
