RE: Is there a way to Load a Scenario/Campaign with alternate rules?

Razz,

That's awesome news! I can't wait (okay I can wait... but it'll be hard) to see what you all come up with. ;)

Best Wishes,
Joseph

RE: Wishlist

<t> I posted about this in the mods and scenario forum, but I'd love to have the ability for a scenario/campaign to be able to load modded rules files without having to replace the core files.<br/>
<br/>
For example: <br/>
<br/>
Say I wanted to mod the order of scenarios in the main campaign. I ...

Dragoon,

Exactly! Maybe we should add this to the Wishlist thread. ;)

RE: Is there a way to Load a Scenario/Campaign with alternate rules?

Razz,

Thanks for the quick answer. I didn't see a way to do this, but I wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something. Maybe someday someone with more coding ability and time than me will be able to figure out how to make such a setup work.

Best Wishes,
Joseph

Is there a way to Load a Scenario/Campaign with alternate rules?

<t> I've done some modding in the past for the Civilization games and one thing that the lastest game (Civ5) does right is its modding... you don't have to save over core files or anything like that. You just create your mod or download someone else's mod and voila! You can play you mod by choosing ...

RE: AI leaving defensibly position for cheap attack

<t> Rudankort,<br/>

Is a unit's expected "entrenchment" included in the AI's decision making in regard to whether to leave its position and attack? If not, then each level of expected entrenchment might count against the AI's decision to leave its position. So a unti that has just moved into ...

Make it easier to add additional campaigns without a duplicate file that needs to be replaced.

I'd love to see this, too! I know how to make backup original files and replace, etc. but I'd perfer to not have to do ...

Thanks for your insights. I thought movement was good for those pionieres... I hadn't thought about it being useful for towed artillery. As for initiative, I was wondering about how that worked exactly. Range on artillery does sound pretty nice. <E>;)</E> I also tend to prefer ...

Best/Worst Leaders for Unit Types

<t> Hello All,<br/>
<br/>
I was just wondering what your opinions are in regards to the best heroes for each unit type. I'm just starting out and would love to have some perspective about how good or awful my heroes are. For example, I got a Pionere with +1 Movement, which seems good to me, but I ...

RE: Earning Extra Prestige Points

<t> I remembered this trick from PG... it always seemed a but strange that you'd get more prestige by just sitting around waiting for the last decisive victory turn, but it seems Panzer Corps has kept this set-up. Personally, I'd prefer being rewarded for finishing earlier. It seems like it'd be an ...

Earning Extra Prestige Points

<t> Just in case you didn't know, you can gain extra prestige from each scenario of a campaign if you don't take the final objective until the last turn to win a decisive victory. I didn't catch this the first scenario, but in the Norway scenario I gained an extra 40 prestige per turn by doing this ...
