RE: Pavlov House and War of Worlds DVG sale

Hi Wodin,

I know that this post has been up for a while, but are the games still up for sale?

If so, I’d be interested.

All the best

RE: Boys trip to UK

<t> If you are going to visit Bovington tank museum (very highly recommended!!), the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton is nearby, lots of WW2 aircraft, Cold War prototypes (TSR2, etc) and you can walk through one of the prototype Concordes that was used for testing.<br/>
There is also a really good ...

RE: On sale this week... just kill me now!

<r> You can't blame Matrix for killing you.......That will be down to the other half, just like in our house!!!!<br/>
<br/>
I think that this has been the most expensive few months I have ever had, with all the quality releases from Matrix.<br/>

I'd like to say 'Keep it up Matrix', but my ...

RE: How Steep Is The Learning Curve?

I can't find a manual in the programme.

Has anybody else located a basic manual for the game?

The document in the manuals folder titled 'manual EBook' is another catalogue

RE: Red Storm Map Rework...

Nick,

Superb job on the maps. I will definitely be downloading these. Hopefully the guys at Matrix will also look into them. The whole gaming experience with the new map in enhanced massively.

RE: On the fence

<t> I did the usual thing and jumped straight in!! The mechanics are actually fairly easy to learn. How to use the individual types of units is where the thought comes in. It is through using the different platforms, that you learn the strengths and weaknesses of them.<br/>

The tutorials are ...

RE: which is best and why?

<t> Yes, I don't think you will regret it. each scenario seems to have loads to look into, and an amazing amount of detail.<br/>
<br/>
There also seem to be a lot of scenario designers and modders out there (who are likely to have access to all of the Harpoon scenarios...for conversion...hopefully ...

RE: What would you like next?

<t> I would prefer the Allies first, as I remember playing Allied General many years ago.<br/>
That could be followed by the Russians.<br/>
There could then be a natural progression onto the cold war, an Allies vs Russians, 'what if' as the number of games in this genre are not as extensive. It ...

<t> Really great news and something that Norb and co. deserve.<br/>
This is a truly great series with so many different challenges and replayablility and such excellent support.<br/>

RE: Unit Stats Spreadsheet

<r> I was looking for the same thing, and after a few days brwsing on the web, found a link in a Slitherine forum, which lists all of the units in a PDF format in a really nice table. It is 17 pages long!!!<br/>
<br/>
It has all of the stats for all of the units in the game, both Allied and German ...
