RE: This game or War Plan Orange?

WPO was the first game in the War in the Pacific trilogy that I acquired back in 2005 and then moved on to WitP, then finally onto AE when it was released. Even though WPO is still a great game, it does not compare with the grand campaign in AE, but that's only what I think. [;)]

<t> Hello obvert, <br/>
<br/>
I think you are correct about the use of the Val's, and the strike results show it. As the hit rate on the ships and airframe/airfields seems good to me, but the damage seems underwhelming. Apart from one test this is the first time I have used the Kate's only on the ...

RE: JFB vs. AFB personalities

<t> Being a JFB I realise that I am going into a game that I am ultimately destined to lose, in the real sense of things. But there is this mere chance that I can hold the Allied might off till 1945 and win a victory of sorts. Of course losing your carrier force or some major units is a massive blow ...

<t> Just I quick word as to why I choose scenario 2 as the format to play this pbem game in and it is not because I think I need the advantage. I have been reading these AAR’s for years; it is how I learnt to play this complex game. <br/>

RE: Counting Seagulls - Redsunrizing (J) vs. jeffs (A). A jeffs-free zone.

Thanks Alfred, yes I didn't realise it could be a misunderstood house rule.

My intent was that landings and para-drops are allowed at/on base or dot-base hexes.

RE: What were they thinking?

<t> These river/coastal gunboats were considered an important part of the Empires policing strategy, and most of the time were the only thing stopping a local revolt. You have to remember that between the wars, the British Army was pretty thin on the ground. The RAF was used to show the flag in the ...
