RE: Can you imagine??????

<t> Wasteland 2 is headed by Brian Fargo the guy who created the game company Interplay and Double Fine Adventure is headed by Tim Schafer the guy who was behind well known adventure games like Grim Fandango and Full Throttle. So hardly strangers. Still I'm curious to see how those games turn out in ...

RE: What IS it about this game...

<t> I think the most noticeable difference between SPWAW and SPWW2 is that SPWW2 plays alot slower than SPWAW. In SPWW2 the vehicles move shorter distances in a turn and the infantry is alot tougher (especialy if it is entrenched). A battle that could take 10 turns in SPWAW can take 30 in SPWW2. Due ...

RE: What IS it about this game...

Well, it has units that are called recon units, but I don't see any setting in the OOB that makes them different from small infantry squads.

The scout units in SPWW2 are size 0 and are thus harder to spot.

RE: Anyone got some info on how the scoring works ?

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>Final score ~16000 vs ~2700, minor victory.<e>
</e></QUOTE>
That gives you a ratio of about 6 to 1.<br/>
<br/>
Decisive Victory reguires 8 to 1 ratio I think. So something like 16000 vs 2000 would give you that.<br/>
(You can calculate this by dividing your points ...

RE: Problems with mech.exe

I'd try reinstalling the game and also make sure UAC is turned off. Or if you leave UAC on then make sure not to install the game under the "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" folders.

<t> Online game is the main reason why I keep returning to SPWAW from time to time. I have never gotten into e-mail gaming it is just too slow paced having to wait a day just for the next turn. With a friend of mine we have sometimes played 8 hours nonstop SPWAW over the internet. Great times!<br ...

You are just using build-in ...

RE: Windows 7 *GUARANTEED* fix

<r> I can confirm that setting the core affinity to use the second core of a dual-core cpu seems to alleviate the artillery screen lag on my Win7 laptop. It won't fix it entirely. Just setting it to a singe core affinity or to use the first core won´t help. Using the imagecfg program with the ...
