Suggestion: a units Reinf/upgrade button

<t> When turning on a units prioritized reinforcements button(green cross) display a running total of what will be the production points total for all units so selected.<br/>
Currently for the Russians I keep a hand calculated total, a real pain.<br/>
Thanks<br/>
Also as Russian with so many ...

RE: stacking units: Ideally and realistically, how should it work in WITE?

<t> For(DNO/FITE) it was my under standing that it was a simple way to represent the increasing capabilities of the soviet army as the war progress, but keep the unit vs unit German advantage.<br/>
<br/>
Example: in 1941 German infantry div had a 10:1 advantage 6-8 plus game modifiers, But as ...

RE: Book Suggestions

<r> The sad truth is that many of the early pub. books were bias or just wrong (which I have read them all and believed ).<br/>
But with opening of soviet archives 1980 to 1990s much new information about both sides of Eastern front/ patriotic war came to light .<br/>

RE: What is to keep Soviets from attacking constantly?

I agree with micheljq about timing, Yet for the german it is either attack offensive or attack defensive.
which WITE captures nicely, ( the weakness and strength of German army. )

RE: What is to keep Soviets from attacking constantly?

<t> This is why as the german you must minimize loses during the 1st winter and<br/>
always attack, attack, attack to cut soviet units. (like having a tiger by the tail).<br/>
Once Soviets can build up larger units it's over for the german (against a good soviet player).<br/>
Note I feel best ...

RE: Romanians and Hungarians in first winter`

<t> "German leadership & managers (many more than Adolph) had their heads up their arises." I agree, <br/>
Basically the germans attacked out of supply, even if they won the battle of Moscow, they were going to suffer vast losses <br/>
because of rail system (or lack of rail supply). This is why ...

RE: About 1:1-2:1 rule

<t> From what I understand, the Soviet used an all out attack method.<br/>
This method increases success some What (pre-panzer), but at very very high cost.( 50% )<br/>
But in 40&41 with very poor operational leadership the success rate should be very low, and a very high cost (90%)<br/>

RE: Bryansk front just disbanded

<t> This brings up an interesting point, these type of events as ( HQ's being rename, disbanded, reformed ) are really caused by historical eastern front events that do not happen in game being played and can cause a headache to the player.<br/>
It would be nice if they were player options.<br ...

RE: HQ Stacking

<t> The stacking does need a little adjusting. Over the years from the AH/SPI era to now, hex stacking had converged on a 3.5 unit stack, i.e. a lot systems were tried with the most being 3 regular plus 1 free one.<br/>
With free defined as some type of support ( in the rear unit), air fields, HQ's ...

RE: Why is it non-historical that the Soviets could have run?

I believe Pelton has nicely summed up the realities of playing WITE 1.0 ; "you are in command"
It would seem the developer/designer must strike a balance between the playable and historical.
and adjust as needed.

RE: Please fix Soviet morale in 1941, its broken.

<t> for my 2 cents, I think that morale has gotten confused with experience,<br/>
EXPERIENCE = how well do the troops perform: ( experience, training, leadership, communication, information;(terrain, enemy & friends) ) i.e. CV<br/>
which all takes time to learn.<br/>
MORALE = Will the troops ...

OKH/STAVKA HQ missing from HQ reassign list

<t> OKH/STAVKA HQ should always be listed. (stop the need to Rail HQ around)<br/>
because OKH/STAVKA HQs are not listed can cause 3 or more reassignments (AP COST).<br/>

SUGGESTION: displaying the full fixed "chain of command" list, it might be a faster. <br/>
Because a "chain of command ...

RE: anti-corruption system and etiquette

<t> What is the proper etiquette for these situations. In the past (boardgames) one just asked your opponent for redo/takeback. <br/>
These redoes could range from mis-understanding of the game rules to a action (blunder) that would end a good game. <br/>
With computerizing of games has been just ...
