I got an equivalent issue and I fixed my graphics issues by updating my graphic card driver (even if it was on a brand new machine). you might face a different issue and context but it worked for me.

USSR surrender conditions?

For the first time (no comments please:-)), playing as the German I achieve to take Leningrad, Moscow AND Stalingrad...however, USSR is still fighting hard even after pushing eastern these 3 countries. Should any USSR unit or city must be taken to have them surrender?

I understand it is the way it works...however the IA doesn't seems to understand it as it keep is feet at see forever. Another alternative way would be to disable the 'move at see' button when a new ship is deployed.

again, this is not a big issue either.

time at see error

When deploying a new ship, it appears that its time at see attribute = turn game !

For example, should you deploy a ship at the turn 100, its time at see will be...100.

not a big issue either.

I did copy the content of the cd I initially used to install the game on an USB key (as I don t have a cd reader on my new laptop) then I executed the installer program from the USB key.
The consoleout.txt does not exist /is empty

the default resolution is 1600x900 but I tried to launch the game with the two other possible resolutions (1024x768 and 800x600) but with the same end-result: nothing happens (no error msg either on the game log)

It is definitly a great game for strategic wargamers. you will be able to creat airbone division (and rename it as 1RCP if you want:-)

thanks for you reply, so based on the numbers you still believe the game is playable for the germans side in january 1941 and they have good chances to break the red army during in the next spring push?

I experienced the exact same behavior, I honored the pact and USSR started to attack the german as early as june 1st, 1940.

but I don't know if this is an event 'bug' or we were just..unlucky!
