Re: Screen resolution

All - many thanks for the tips. I've found the way to alter the resolution, but even though the fonts sometime increase in size slightly, there is a lot of blurring.

The good news is that I have tried on my glasses (which I try not to wear normally) - and the game looks perfect!

Huge thanks once ...

Re: Screen resolution

I'm glad it's not just me! I'll play around with this - the system enhanced bypass didn't seem to make any difference unfortunately. I can always go to Plan B - use my glasses!
Thanks for your help anyhow.

Screen resolution

Hi,

I just reloaded TOAW IV onto my new laptop. However, the screen resolution is far too small for me to read any text prior to and then when playing a game. I thought it would be easy to change but I can't find any relevant settings button to change.

Laptop specs;

Device name Pc
Processor Intel ...

Re: Comparison to War in The Pacific - AE

I only say WP Europe has the edge on WPP purely because I'm from the UK and can just about remember the elder relatives who were in the thick of it - the Desert War, Italy, Arctic convoys, Pedestal, and even in the fire brigade at home etc.
Both games have a subtle atmosphere difference, with ...

Re: Comparison to War in The Pacific - AE

Hi,
I bought WitPAE when it was on offer but I gave up on it very quickly - far too much intricate, overwhelming and irrelevant micro detail. Conversely, both Warplan games are intuitive and offer and huge amount of gametime. Plenty of stuff plays out in the background without you needing to bother ...

Ability to build Fortified Lines/areas (sorry if previously mentioned). Built very roughly on same time/PP cost of coastal defences. If possible, less benefit than longstanding fortifications like Maginot etc. Therefore, two levels of fortification in the game.

"Losses on the Eastern Front are unsustainable..."

<t> Got this at the top of the start of turn report as the Axis.<br/>
<br/>
'Losses on the Eastern Front are unsustainable. A reorganisation of armament production is in action to keep up with replacements'<br/>
<br/>
What does this signify? Is there an actual effect, or is it historical flavour ...

RE: WarPlan 2 Convoy System Poll

Sorry to be boring, but maybe think about splitting choice 1 into two (hexes vs small areas) just to gauge more precisely the feeling on moving away from the current system of hexes to areas? Just saying....
