Probably safest to take the H2H version and add the lag fix to it. Unless you are certain that you know every edit in the H2H version. It may be more than just the exp/morale values.

I'll chime in on the side of those who say that some things on the screen can be very difficult to read. It's even discouraged me from playing sometimes.
