Re: Community pack won't install

The community pack did install, you have to add it as a mod. You have to go to Settings - Mods - and add the Iron Cross Mod. It makes no difference to the game play but by adding extra tips it makes it easier to play. It also makes it look a lot better (only the ports are a little harder to locate ...

Re: Is it even possible to take Nanning?

Yes it's tough to take it but you have to replace the Kwangtung army with garrison units in Manchuria, once you have all those units moved and upgraded, it becomes a lot easier to take Nanning. Also invest in logistics and command and control - both finished research on the same turn in my game ...

Video: HQs in SC World at War

I have created a video about HQs in SC World at War that covers nine topics here: https://youtu.be/YeDOC2FU_68

1. Do HQ allocation first - why?
2. You can move HQs and still allocate if you move them first
3. Major vs Minor Allies - which HQs can control what units
4. Command distance
5.. Chaining ...

Re: Italians go for Afrika and South America

How does Italy gain MPPS early in the game? It only has half-buit units and it took everything I had to get those units built and to move units to East Africa. Are you saying Italy should invade South America in the 1939 game before the Americans put their ring of ships around it?

Community pack won't install

Hi, I have downloaded the Community Pack but when I try to run the installation, it says I don't have SCWaW installed. I certainly do have it installed, as I runs and allows me to play all the scenarios. I have downloaded the latest patch, and that installed OK. Any suggestions?

RE: British Home Guard in Seelowe

<t> Yeah I like the "Britain Stands Alone" system where the Home Guard doesn't have units but is assumed to be in any unconquered territory and just adds defensive points and movement penalties to the terrain until defeated. Having said that, the stop lines are not fully implemented in the game ...

Supply and AP problems + turn order

<t> I played through the Bxura and Sealion scenarios OK (was able to use HQs as fast-moving flanking units) but now I'm doing the Polish campaign and I keep running out of supplies and action points. If a unit has no AP at the start, is that because it has been attacked?<br/>
To keep supplies ...

can't find editor

Hi, I have updated the game and installed Kiddytoto's mod but can't find the editor. Where is it located and what is it called? I would like to create a more historic version of the Sealion scenario.

Operation Sealion Historial Deployment

<r> It is not possible to do a fully historical deployment as planned for Operation Sealion on day one. VIII Corps is missing one division - 6 Mountain Division- and X Corps (which was just an HQ staff) is missing entirely. There are also no armoured forces included in the divisions or available as ...

Operation Sealion Map & OOB errors

<t> Hi, the map for Operation Sealion has some interesting errors, were these features deliberately leftout?<br/>
<br/>
1. The port of Newhaven (between Brighton and Eastbourne) had a greater capacity than Folkestone in 1940 and was the largest port within the initial invasion area. The Dieppe ...

HQs

<t> I'm playing my first game (the Bzura)and understand the role of HQs in providing a supply chain, however do they have another role? I notice you can get an HQ range option to show on the map - does this show where the influence of the HQ leader and staff applies? Also, what exactly is the effect ...

Operation Sealion artillery

<t> Hi, in the notes for Operation Sealion it states that the Germans would have landed without any artillery support. The notes for Sealion look like they have been copied without any verification from Wikipedia or the unreferenced Alison Brooks essay. It is incorrect to say there was no artillery ...
