Army organization for Rumanian/German offensive into Crimea

<t> Please don't judge! I'm trying to figure out what the best situation regarding army organization is. So in 1942, I want to clear out the Crimea with 12 Rumanian Division + 4 German Divisions. Rumanians aren't able to do it by themselves, which is why I want to send a corps of German infantry ...

How do cities and forts effect retreat rules?

<r> So I'm not an expert by any means, but in every attack I remember, odds of 2.0 or better force a retreat, and odds of 1.99 or less get a held result. I'm on turn 6 and attack Odessa with the help of pioneers and heavy artillery. First dedicated attack gets 2.42 to 1, but it's a held result. All ...

RE: Strategic Bombing

<t> Thanks Telemecus, I'll check that out. I feel like Ground Support being automatic has made me lazy when dealing with the air war, just a "put this airbase here and planes will fly there" sort of thing. <br/>

Strategic Bombing

<t> I'm trying to understand the air war a little better and found myself asking what impact does Strategic Bombing have on a variety of targets? For example, if I bomb a city with 4 Armaments, and cause 10% damage, what does that mean? Are Armaments reduced by 10% from that city? or is it 100 ...

Based on your description though your fighter fatigue should be sky high now making your fighters worthless - it is not until you have a rotation to have fresh fighters that they will actually do their job.<br/>

Air War FUBAR in 1.12??

<r> Playing GC as the Axis for the first time in 1.12 and my Soviet opponent has been hammering my airbases every turn. on turn 9 I had enough. First thing I did was send my airbases back to the railhead, 3 to a hex, load them up with flak, transfer my fighters so they had 1% flown, cranked up ...

What's happening here?

<r> So turn 1 I formed Lvov pocket as the Axis, my Soviet oppenent reopens the pocket on their turn 1. I open up my turn 2 to this. Random hexes where the rail is under my control and construction units are beginning to repair. I'm assuming this isn't supposed to happen...<br/>

Looking for an Intermediate Soviet oppenent for the long haul (Closed)

I consider myself an OK Axis player, nothing amazing, but I know my way around the game. Looking for a similarly skilled Soviet opponent to go the distance in a GC game. I'm good for about 5 turns per week. Flexible on rules.

Attaching German Divisions to Axis Minor Corps?

<t> It seems like there aren't enough German Corps to prevent overloading, especially when Division are broken down. Does anyone know if it is benificial to mix German and Axis Minor divisions under different nations armies? Is a German Division better off under an overloaded German Corps? Or a non ...

Looking for Soviet Player for '41 - '45 "Bitter End"

<t> I consider myself an average skilled German player and am looking for a soviet opponent for a 41-45 Bitter End opponent. Experience doesn't matter as long as you're not crazy good, newbies welcome. Settings can be negotiated. I'm good for a turn every night or 2. Let me know if you're interested ...

Seeking a Beginner-Average Soviet Player

<t> I'd consider myself an "average" German player. I've played several GC against the AI and a server game that went until mid '43 but that was a few years ago and I'm rusty, and definitely intimidated by the skill level out there since I understand the basics but not the intricacies. I'm wondering ...

RE: Newbie problem: Logistics

<t> I have problem with logistics as well, I usual find my panzers short on fuel by turn 5. According the the manual, they have to be a certain # of movement points from a railhead to receive decent fuel supplies, not sure what that is. Just remember when using air supply; transports have to be ...

RE: Multiplayer challenges

<t> People are very active in multiplayer. Those are games where the person setting it up, did so with a password, maybe not knowing another player needed it to join. I guess Slitherine decided not to clear these from the server. If you look to the left of the game you'll see either a * or a ...

Game crashes when selecting "show event log"

Does anyone else have this problem? I can open it if it's the first thing I do. But after I close it, if my mouse curser even hovers over it, the game crashes. It get's very frustrating with server games and I get emails from Slitherine about downloading turns multiple times.
