Re: Whats the logic behind VP?

Yes, I'd like to know the rules regarding victory points too. I had a victory point change sides in my favour yesterday when I did not cross the victory point but had several units in adjacent locations. I also had a victory point that was shared with the opposition (250 points each).

Re: Playing tutorial - orders lost

I have attached the save game. I have restarted several times with the same result each time. I suspect that was the last unit to receive orders because I had not changed the combat orders for that unit when I changed it for the other tanks.

Playing tutorial - orders lost

I am playing the first tutorial and following the manual to set up the first orders for each unit. I have given orders to each unit, saved the game and then pressed Start. All units except the ACR TRP execute their orders. At 6.01, the ACR TRP has lost its orders and is screening in place. The ...

RE: Bring back the latest downloads page

That's correct. I check some of the forums each day but the latest downloads page was very useful to see activity on the other games.

RE: Bring back the latest downloads page

Ian
Thanks for the response. My Page is good to see the status of individual games but it doesnt provide the quick and easy summary that the latest downloads page provided.

Bring back the latest downloads page

The new look is good but in the process some funtionality has gone missing. I have quite a few Matrix games. The latest downloads page told me at a glance whether there was a new download without needig to look in individual forum pages. Please bring it back in some form.

RE: 2 questions from a new player

Cap'n

I've seen this in my logs. The problem is not that the end time is wrong. The problem is that the start and finish times are reversed for some log entries. The parameters to the display of the log entry are in the wrong order.

RE: Updated community scenario pack - Six new scenarios!

This download contains several duplicate files, starting with Operation Soberani. When I cleaned out the directory first and then extracted all files, I received a prompt to overwrite existing files.

Why not leave it as an option. Then each player can suit themselves.

Great that you've got your own web site. A small request - could you consider changing the colour scheme? Red on grey is very hard to read.

RE: Fulda scenario hang

<t> I tried it again a final time with the original map, although I didn't expect any difference. It hung at about 4hrs 20 mins. I reloaded the autosave and the game continued for several in game hours before I abandoned it. It's easily resolved by using the autosave. Now I have to maintain the ...

RE: Fulda scenario hang

<t> I have been doing some more testing and the outcome is that there is no evidence - the crash is not reproducible by just providing a save game. The crash has occurred each time but only after several hours of in-game time. The crashes are as follows:<br/>
1. The original crash - screen became ...

RE: Fulda scenario hang

I am running 2.03a. I don't have any save games - I was just going to play a few turns to see how the replacement map felt and then a few more turns ..... I'll try to reproduce it and save the game as I go.

Fulda scenario hang

<t> I had just downloaded William's new maps and loaded up the Fulda Frontier of Freedom scenario to look at the map. So I thought, while I'm here, I'll set up the units and play a few rounds of orders to see how usable the new map was. All went well until exactly on the four hour mark which is a ...
