RE: Mission Control Images from the Soviet space program

Here is a link to a good resource on Russian Space exploration.

According to this article, the Soviet's first built a "Mission Control" for the ASTP in 1973.

RE: Mission Control Images from the Soviet space program

<t> Wow, that is a tough one. I have been searching all night. The earliest I could find was from the Apollo/Soyuz mission. The Soviets had a lot of secrecy then.<br/> <br/> <br/> Does this mean you are getting close to the point of upgrading the Mission Control screen like some of us have suggested...

Hey, I see some boxes around the mission control screen....could those be placeholders for small thumbnails to be presented during the mission? :)

RE: Mission Control Screen - Poorly

<r> I like your ideas. I would still like to see small thumbnails of communication antenna, tracking cameras, launch control personnel, etc cycle through during the countdown and mission. Having the "screens" go to "static" when there is a failure is really cool too. You know there is an issue even ...

RE: Mission Control Screen - Poorly

You know, even the mission control scene in the movie at the start of the game would be a great background for the Mission Control during launches.... You would have to display small thumbnail pictures like you do in the movie...

RE: Mission Control Screen - Poorly

<t> I agree that the mission control screen in BARIS was neat to see with the small pictures of tracking radar, spacecraft, astronauts etc shown on the screens. I would like to see even the main graphics on a smaller "screen" in mission control with the option to view it in full screen after the mis...

Try installing the update as admin (right click on the install file to chose). It may be trying to create a new folder without the right permissions.

I believe the Agena was really difficult to develop and was the pacing item for several programs.

RE: Initial Reaction

I like the graphics. I think the art is beautiful. While the real footage in BARIS was neat, it is nice to see the real spacecraft pictured. They are flying the Pegasus Spacecraft for goodness sake(A space nut like me loves that!) [&o]
