RE: Control of Division Brigades

TC is short for the before mentioned button "Take Charge from AI", displayed as a Flag on the toolbar.
You can TC any regiment or officer to disable its "AI brain".

RE: commanders all over the map

When you see this, where does the Brigade commander move to? Maybe he is moving to one of his units, which retreated and is now rallying away from the frontline?

RE: More Courier Questions

<r> There are two things to separate regarding couriers.<br/>
<br/>
1) In the Game Options you can set "Orders by Couriers at this Level and above" to <B><s></s>Brigade <e></e></B>(all orders delivered by couriers) up to <B><s></s>Division/Corps/Army/Side<e></e></B> (means only ...

RE: Camera Hotkey Up/Down?

4. Did you activate the WASD mode in the in-game Options? In this mode, those keys have a different effect. Left-Shift will change the speed your avatar rides (slow/fast). Spacebar will let you halt.

RE: Help with "On to the Round Tops"

<t> Hi NBForrest<br/>
<br/>
When you look at the map ("M") and hover above the objective you can see (among other info), the radius of an objective, how many men are needed, how long you need to stay and if is a one-time (Waypoint) or continuous objective (Hold).<br/>
It doesn't matter which of ...

RE: Let's Try Scourge of War: Waterloo

<r> Hi RedCharlie<br/>
<br/>
thanks for your interest in the game and buying (all) Scourge of War titles [:)] <br/>
<br/>
IMHO one of the biggest differences between SOW and RTS games is 1) the AI of individual units in SOW and 2) the command structure from brigades up to army level (including ...

For quite a different play style you could try the following in a Division-Level Scenario:<br/>

RE: Routed troops

<t> In my games I try to handle routed/reformed units with extreme care. Let them rest away from battle by lying down and if possible with an officer nearby until their morale bar is full again.<br/>
Then I bring them back towards the battle, but I try to put them in the second line. Behind a ...

Did you play sandbox or a historical scenario?
If it is a historical scenario, maybe you selected a friendly unit which is not under your control?

RE: Any Planes for expansion of this gonre?

<t> Yes, SOWWL will be expanded!<br/>
One or more expansion packs are planned later this year and offered through Matrix to cover the other battles from the 100 days campaign: Quatre Bras, Ligny and Wavre.<br/>
After that, nothing is decided yet, but it is likely to be something from the Nappy ...

RE: Waterloo upgrades in Gettysburg

<t> Hi Amalur<br/>
<br/>
I don't think this would be possible. Yes, Waterloo is based on the SOW Gettysburg engine but there have been too many changes that would allow to activate some of the new features. <br/>

In Waterloo, the whole user interface (toolbar, sidebars, menus, controls ...

RE: Strange bug with arty

<t> scottishsoldier is correct. A battery under AI-control will stop if it has targets in range. So it can often happen that when you give a movement order, the battery will begin to move but not arrive at its destination as enemy units have appeared on the way (which you may not have spotted before ...

RE: How do I conquer a structure in the use of HITS?

<t> in general: Playing HITS is challenging - and my favourite way to play SOW games.<br/>
You must deal with a limited view and overview of the battle.<br/>
There is a trade-off between standing on high ground (and having a great overview of the situation) and stay cose to your units to give them ...
