If you haven't already, disabling the Steam overlay in the game properties should help a bit.

I reported this same issue back in 1.9.0.5 and it still exists today. I've done a fresh reinstall of the game and that didn't work. Hopefully they will figure it out someday.

Title says it all. When I am the first to discover a planetary ruins and it says it awards a tech bonus nothing actually applies to the stated tech.

Still lose music in 1.9.0.7 and .8. Did a complete reinstall of the game, made sure Windows is up to date and still nothing.

That's something different then. I generally play 4-5 hours at a time and the music never comes back for me. Before 1.9.0.5 it would continually play music, now it just dies after a bit.
