Hey everyone, So I guess I just decided to build mining station on the valuable planet, then made a spaceport in same system and assigned a fleet to guard. Has been working for 3 in-game years so far. Thanks for all the info! [:D]

Yeah, lowering the taxes to 0% will definetly help in getting the population up fast. Especially when you have a new colony.
I have never tried raising the tax rate at my homeworld to 60% though. Dont the population there revolt?? [X(]
