Re: Can't Figure Out Air Range Rules

Late reply here as well, but keep in mind that range and combat radius are two different things. In the game, the combat radius is one-third of the aircraft's range. When fighters are acting as bomber escorts, the escort radius is reduced further to three-quarters of the combat radius.

Below are ...

warhead weight (+ fuel?) vs complete rocket

As far as I can tell, the weights were for the complete rocket. But it is harder to tell as compared to British or U.S. rockets, which have more ordnance manuals available online.

Thanks for reminding me of recalculating the aircraft's loadout ...

You could try what it did historically during some periods of the war: nighttime raids on Axis cities (i.e. strategic bombing).

Re: War in the East 2 Official Update V1.02.45

Not sure of the best place to post this, but after getting the game and digging into the details, it seems a change announced for v1.02.44 was not fully implemented.

According to the change notes for v1.02.44:

Data and Scenario Changes
RS-82 Rocket (0070) – Load increased from 15 to 24
RP-3 60lb ...

Re: A holiday confession and best wishes!!!

Finally, I must say from a system professional point of view, both the modeling and UI is as detailed as I have seen trading work stations.

There is one UI thing which seems to appear in every GG game (and a lot of games in general) that drives me nuts, because it is so typographically ...

If you purchase the game from Matrix you’ll get two keys, one to install anywhere on your hard drive and a Steam activation key. If instead you buy from Steam you’ll only get one key and one install.

I always buy from Matrix first .

I have no issue purchasing from Matrix, but Steam currently ...

Steam gets updated whenever the Matrix version gets updated, including public betas. Not sure what steam page you are referring to that only lists the 1.02.25 version (if you have a link, that would be very helpful so I could pass that info on to Matrix to check on). The 1.02.45 is out and on ...

Re: War in the East 2 Official Update V1.02.45

Does this update apply to the Steam version of the game as well? The last update listed on WitE 2's Steam page is v1.02.25 from April.

I'm considering purchasing the Steam version, but if it is that far behind in updates compares to the Matrix/Slitherine version, then that would affect my decision.

You've got an opponent lined up then?

I only just saw your post, and was going to ask if you'd be interested in doing the air-only 'Pointblank Directive' campaign as the Axis and I'd handle the Allies.

That last point is not the case; the ...

RE: Bombing the Reich for the Matrix Sale?

The game was 81% off its regular price when I picked it up a couple of days ago. For me that meant a purchase cost of just under $14 CAD ($9.50 USD). At that price it's hard to go wrong.
