End of Solomon Campaign?

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I was wondering if anyone else has run into this.<br/>
<br/>
I am playing the Solomons Campaign. It is supposed to end 31 December 1943.<br/>
<br/>
My game is continuing into January 1944 and no apparent end. Did I win? The game is not ending or giving me any victory ...

What do you mean by killer? 6 CVs?
I know occasionally some 12 CV stack pops up and I am trying to figure out how the A.I. is creating these.

12 CV's? OK, I'll stop complaining!

I'll have to look into those advancements for land based aircraft. I was using mine for the CV air-to-air, thinking that would alleviate Jap CV strikes. Given the size of the area between New Guinea and the Solomon's, it is difficult to "be where the Japs aren't", since ...

Killer CV stacks

<t> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
Notice that the AI likes killer CV stacks. <br/>
<br/>
Any thoughts on this? The game mechanics are probably not going to allow a successful attack or breakup of these killer stacks. I suppose the strategy becomes sending your CV groups to another side of the Pacific until ...

Where are the available landing craft to conduct the non-port landing? Page 86 of manual shows a picture.

I was thinking something like World in Flames, which does have different scales per theater. But certainly, the complexity of computer programming and PBEM, etc., would make it more difficult than it at first would seem.<br/>

Europe/Pacific

Hello,

I am curious if there are any plans to run both the Europe and Pacific game together into a global level game, where nations like the US have to split production, etc.

Thanks,

RE: Desert War: Lage Ost 1942 - COMMAND CONTROL

<t> Another thing to consider:<br/>
<br/>
Command control. Most games have a radius from the HQ as the heart of their command rules. Being outside of command has particular negatives per game. But the player still maintains control.<br/>

I would like to see an optional rule (since some ...

<t> Clearly, too many pieces. An Eastern Front game would be worse.<br/>

I would suggest removing the many separate AT sections and other such units and add "them" to the divisional HQ to dole out as needed. The receiving unit would have a bump up in combat strength, perhaps a small AT ...
