Re: Combat Results Tables? Where can I find them?

Thank you very much for your quick answer, this helps a lot! Maybe this info would be something for the manual in future updates... (Appendix C: Combat Results Tables). I think this would be useful for many players.

However I want to thank you for your great help and support! This is one thing ...

Combat Results Tables? Where can I find them?

A quote from the manual (3.2.10): "There are seven different Combat Results Tables that are used..."

=> Where can I find them? I would like to analyze my direct fire odds and so on. Or are they invisible for the player? I remember that there were some in the very old Campaign Series WW2.

=> It ...

RE: The Future of WitE

How playable is the latest beta? Are there any major bugs? I would like to start one final campaign bevor switching over to the new game but since it takes a certain amount of time to finish it, it should be a stable game version. Thanks for some answers!

RE: Combat results - question

For example:
If Attack = 7 and Defense = 7
then I have to look at the column

A B C D E F G
1 1 0 0 10 15 25

=> I have a 10% chance to destroy ONE point? Really?

Combat results - question

<t> Hi,<br/>
I just bought this game on sale and it looks promising. But I have one question after playing some of the tutorials: How is combat calculated? I mean the infantry units shot at each other several times but there hardly ever occured a hit.<br/>
<br/>
There is a combat results table ...

RE: What makes this game so 'complex' or better than the others?

<t> I totally agree, this game has the closest possible feeling to real historical problems. You have to plan ahead. A typical example - like it really was! - is the whole year 1942 for the axis. You know that you aren't strong enough to fight everywhere so you have to put a main emphasis or focus ...

RE: Gary Grigsby's War in the East Open Beta 1.12.05

<t> What is the current status of this beta patch? Is it playable or are there more hotfixes coming? Will there be an official release soon? Maybe someone could give me his opinion. Playing a whole campaign takes an amount of time and it would be annoying to find some serious bugs after awhile.<br ...

RE: New Player has some questions

<t> Once again thank you for your help. May I ask one last question?<br/>
<br/>
In "War in the east" it is one very important goal to capture enemy cities/factories in order to reduce the amount of replacements the opponent gets. How is it in this game? Is there a similar way to do it?<br/>

RE: New Player has some questions

Thanks for your answers, this helps a lot! Let me try to ask number three again:

Do you have a higher chance of winning a ground combat if your planes have secured air superiority?

New Player has some questions

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I am new to this game and it would be great if someone could help me. I've read the manual and watched some videos but after playing two small tutorial scenarios, there are still some questions left in my mind. Oh and sorry for making some grammar mistakes, I am not a native ...

But this only works after using the Battle locator (F11), right? It doesn't work with the normal report you get after each battle...?

<t> I am a bit confused right now... Everybody was talking about 1.08.08 - is this the same patch or will there be another one in two weeks (I remember you mentioned something like this)?<br/>
<br/>
Are there any differences in comparison to the old 1.08.07 beta?<br/>

Thanks for your reply ...

German translation?

<r> Is a german translation planned? I am asking since there is one in War in the east...<br/>
<br/>
I guess you even should be able to use most of the old translation.csv <br/>
<br/>
I cannot find this file though in the new game, so I can't change it on my own.<br/>
