SMK, thank you for your post! I tend to bounce from game to game, so the "one campaign" isn't likely to get stale for me for a while. And I am encouraged by what you say about the AI.<br/>

SMK, thank you for your post! I tend to bounce from game to game, so the "one campaign" isn't likely to get stale for me for a while. And I am encouraged by what you say about the AI.

But I am still on the fence. If anyone else has any comments I am all ears...

Considering purchase

<t> Hello all,<br/>
<br/>
I've had my eye on this game for a while and am seriously considering purchasing it. Perhaps those of you who have played it can address some of the questions I have about it.<br/>
<br/>
- I was able to find several reviews of this game and they were all very positive ...

RE: AI inquiry

Thanks for your input, rs99z28. Fortunately I'm more interested in playing as the North, so at least I would get a greater challenge that way. But I'm disappointed that I wouldn't have to worry so much about Southern attacks.

RE: I am impressed

Does the game include any sort of simulation of command and control? I recall Field of Glory PC having a very rudimentary leader system, and it was far better than having nothing.

RE: AI inquiry

Yes, very good discussion in that thread. Thanks for the pointer.

I'm still vacillating about getting this one. But you do make a good point; at least my experience with WaW would grease the learning skids for GGWBTS.

RE: AI inquiry

<t> DerTroof, thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed reply!<br/>
<br/>
I find your report of the overly conservative CSA AI especially alarming. In Grigsby's World at War the AI is constantly checking to test the feasibility of potential attacks, and by giving the AI a combat bonus it ...

AI inquiry

<t> Hello gents (and ladies?),<br/>
<br/>
I'm looking for some feedback on the quality of the AI for this game. I've had my eye on this title for a while, and may spring for it if it goes on sale again.<br/>
<br/>
I game almost exclusively single player. So I'm not interested in any games where ...

RE: Under windows 7

Thanks again Jason. As long as I'm able to cobble together the same information that I would get if the F3 key worked, I'm happy.

RE: Under windows 7

Thanks Jason. Before posting I did take a look at the Unit Viewer. It's a wonderful tool for looking at unit specific data. But if there is a way to view scenario specific parameter data (such as terrain defensive modifiers) I haven't figured it out. Am I missing something? [&:]

RE: Under windows 7

<t> Hello Gents,<br/>
<br/>
I've just purchased JTCS and am really looking forward to sinking my teeth into it. Looks like some serious gaming goodness!<br/>
<br/>
But unfortunately I'm having the above mentioned issues with accessing information from the F3, F4 or F5 keys. I installed the ...
