RE: What game are you playing now?

<t> Just bought Fox Hole so I have been playing that the past couple of days. Getting to know the logistics side of things so I have been gathering resources, converting them into usable materials, and producing ammunition, guns, medical kits, bayonets, etc. and then driving them to the front to ...

RE: Final stages tactics

<t> Do you have more units than supply to sustain them? I only ask because I have seen this a few times in my games making units weaker and not getting the full effect of good supply. If it looks like your units aren't getting enough supply, try moving some well away from the front and prioritize ...

RE: request for additional info on research screen

I like the research the way it is now. Has the big board war game feeling of advancing the tech chit in a certain area along the track.

I did. I finished episode 3 last night. It actually wasn't too bad for modern day History Channel stuff. I thought it flowed well and lots of good info mixed in with the visuals.

New American Civil War Game coming to Steam

<r> I was searching for American Civil War games last night on various sites and platforms and came across this one called <I><s></s>Grand Tactician: The Civil War 1861-1865<e></e></I>. <br/>

RE: ships won't repair??

<t> The best way is to prioritize them by clicking the button for said action on their pop up window once you select the unit. Also it helps to allocate more PP towards reinforcements/upgrades/repair in combination with this. Within a turn or two you should start seeing some of that damage repair ...

RE: Wait

Yeah I have to agree with guggy. Being a big board war gamer (box and digital) I can say I have paid way more for games on both sides that don't have as much to offer as this game does.

I only own Gladius and Sanctus Reach. I prefer Gladius most of the time, in fact I have been playing it quite a bit lately. Just finished a game 216 turns later, yesterday in fact.

RE: Board or digital?

Board game. Something special about being able to share a good scotch, conversation, and light hearted "rule book lawyering" with a pal while playing a familiar classic or learning a new game.

RE: This game any good?

Yes it is move and attack. No right click that brings up a menu with multiple options.

This game is much more approachable than WiF. I don't mind WiF, but all the rules make it a confusing mess sometimes.

RE: Raspoutitsa

<t> It would bog this game down too much. The penalties units take now moving during inclement weather is sufficient for how this game plays. It makes you think "is it worth losing effectiveness and attack value to move units closer to the front or do I wait until better weather so they are in ...

Spinecruncher,

If you play and enjoy big war board games then you will like this. Has pretty easy mechanics to get used to but a rich strategic element to keep you busy and interested, like the board game Unconditional Surrender! World War 2 in Europe

RE: Great game - but some aspects maybe shoyld be considered

<t> I have found the Winter Specialization to be helpful on the Eastern Front. I put it on all of the Siberian Units plus a few extra Tank Corps and I am counter attacking during snow and blizzards in the winter of '43. I have seen good results with these units grouped together when focusing them on ...

That is pretty neat. I had several games from them in the '90s. The game I played the most from them was M1 Tank Platoon II. Loved that game.
